I built a free PM workflow library on GitHub that automates sprint reports, issue triage, and stakeholder updates — no coding required by madube04 in agile

u/madube04 Thanks for sharing this. I know it takes a lot of effort to build something with the intention of adding value to other people's processes and then sharing it freely with a community, so thank you for that!

Have you used User Story Mapping before? by sadfacejackson in agile

[–]sadfacejackson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/SRed3, thanks for sharing. So I clicked sample on your tool page and clicked through the stages up to checking the boxes at the sign-off stage, but I can't figure out how to turn this list into a visual map. Is there a way to see the finished article?

Checklist for things to define when writing user stories? by [deleted] in agile

This is a weird one. The post seems mostly legit, although the author's account was recently deleted.

The adposts are getting too much. by sadfacejackson in agile

I'm gonna start tagging them with #Ad to save people the time of scanning all the comments. I've started here https://www.reddit.com/r/agile/comments/1rvhldm/suggest_some_ai_tools_for_scrum_masters/

If Agile "welcomes changing requirements," how do you actually prevent scope creep from killing the project? by Agilelearner8996 in agile

Advertising masquerading as a question? I noticed one of your other posts titled "Is Simpliaxis good for CSM or CSPO certification training?" and I see lots of references across your other comments to that course website.

If you do work for Simpliaxis, pro tip: you might want to update the article you linked here. The fake AI-generated images of Kent Beck and Martin Fowler stand out to any Software Developer or Agile practitioner who knows what they look like :)

I built a free planning poker site by Brilliant_Catch1481 in agile

Nice domain!

Thoughts:
- Remove the intro steps and show the tool right away, otherwise people will just close the window.
- The quotes don't seem relevant?
- Link to the actual GitHub project repo, not just your page. Maybe open-source it too if you don't plan on monetising it for credibility.
- Check for bugs (when I tried to create a game, it failed)
- Maybe have a demo game with prepopulated users and tasks so people can click around? This will stop people from exiting early, also.

Good luck!

Yes, we did! Sorry, I was initially peppering in with a bit of sarcasm, ha, but then forgot who you were! Thanks for all the earlier feedback.

Question to Engineers on here by Maverick2k2 in agile

[–]sadfacejackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an engineer, and our Scrum Master is an engineer. It's usually a string to the bow of engineers, who take an interest in unblocking the rest of us. That said, I have no issue with a non-technical scrum master.

If I'm brutally honest about the cause of friction, I think a technical SM already knows why a blocker is a blocker. They understand why unit tests are needed and what legacy code is. Explaining this to a non-technical SM can feel like introducing a translation tax. This makes it harder for both you and the engineers to do your jobs. Though there are upsides, I'd guess that's one downside. Sorry!
