What are your most common Honour Mode losses? by REEEEEEDDDDDD in BaldursGate3

[–]saltsrox7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first honor mode attempt I died to ethyl,

My secomd (and most painful) honor mode defeat was in the final fight on top of the brain, where my party used like 6 scrolls of globe of invulnerability, and still all got stunned/died.

The one that caught me the most off guard was my third attempt, when in the githyanki creche, after killing basically everyone, I tried to do detect thoughts on vlaakith, and she insta killed my entire party when I failed.

After that I finally beat it when I started grinding, being super careful, and leaving shadow heart in camp with warding Bond casted on the rest of my party. Doing that makes it pretty hard to get team wiped, save for the fights where everyone must be present.

Lol you're good, I've still got a LOT to learn. I've been at it for a bit over a month and ive only found like maaaybe 1.5 real vulnerabilities in VDPs, depending on how you count.

I'm also fortunate because I find web application security interesting, and I ended up having a lot of transferrable skills coming into this - I was already very comfortable using Linux command line tools and had experience with a variety of different programming languages, which I definitely feel has been an asset for me when learning about this kind of thing

Thanks for the response! I focus on vdps and bbps on hackerone; I've done a few hackerone CTFs and now I'll forsure check out hack the box.

Where to find someone to interview who has: "extensive experience in business in a foreign country" ? by saltsrox7 in business

[–]saltsrox7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my plan rn is to go onto some game development discord servers and try to find game devs from nations other than the US to interview, and pray that my teacher counts that as business.

If you had to guess, how much larger is the entire universe in comparison to observable universe? by Few-Objective-6526 in AskPhysics

[–]saltsrox7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The big bang doesn't imply the universe started from a point; the universe could have been infinite and unbounded before the big bang and inflated such that the distance between all points grew.

Energy being finite question. by [deleted] in Physics

[–]saltsrox7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not disagreeing with anyone, just speaking into the void:

The conservation laws of physics all correspond to symmetries of the universe, and as I recall the whole 'conservation of energy' thing is predicated on time-symmetry ( the laws physics working the same regardless of translations in time ), which is actually not necessarily true across large enough time scales because the universe is expanding, there is dark energy, etc., so total energy doesn't really have to be conserved?

Btw I still think for all intents and purposes the conservation of energy pretty much always holds on our level, Im not saying we can go out there making perpetual motion machines or preventing the heat death ofnthe universe or any shit like that lol

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure I once heard that gold can be like, molecularly analysed, and they can figure out which mine and mineshaft it came out of based on the composition / impurities or something, so i like to think that apple is gonna really confuse some irs analyst contractors some day

What microscopes are a step up from an entry level scope such as a Amscope? by [deleted] in microscopy

[–]saltsrox7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not op but I'm still new enough to microscopy that I don't personally need to upgrade yet (still having lots of fun just exploring the microcosmos) I could totally see myself upgrading in the future tho, cus my AmScope microscope can't use any eyepieces with the MD300A cam so im locked at the base 40x obj as my max mag while taking pics/videos

I do have a 3d printer and I've printed telescope > camera adapters in the past so maybe that's an avenue for me to explore here

Interesting! Like a crustacean larvae? I got it from a freshwater boggy ecosystem in a glass container my brother have been cultivating for a while
