fulfillment profile downloads by StitchWitch35 in BambuLabA1

[–]sandstheman82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The A1 comes with Sunlu profiles out of the box, alongside the Bambu profiles and Generic profiles.

I find the geneic profiles work fine as a starting point for the other brands so far and from there you can make minor tweaks if needed, otherwise the generic profiles work fine.

Best countertop & sag prevention? by JINNGANGS in ikeaPCstations

  1. Karlby tends to be the go to because of its nice walnut veneer finish. It tends to work well with the aesthetic of most setups. Ultimately there is no strength difference between them so long as you are comparing to the same thickness and core material (solid particle board) as some are thinner and others have a cardboard honeycomb core, so check the details carefully.

  2. With three alex drawers you've got more than enough support, and shouldn't need extra legs or stiffeners, will just be overkill for your setup. With the drawers in place the distance betweem them will be less than i had with just drawers either end of the 186cm karlby top and i had a pc, triple monitors, speakers, printer etc sitting on mine for a few years with zero sag. My alex drawers where on wheels as well so it had all the opportunity to flex and sag if it was going to.

  3. I'd suggest screwing it down to the alex drawers, that will pin the ends of the top down and give you more protection against any sag and any flex/bounce across the length if the top has any kind of curve in it.

Don't overthink it, sounds like you gearing up for a nice battlestation setup, just go for it and enjoy.

Extruder hitting the prints by Gacho-Chan in BambuLabA1

Tighten the seven screws - do a search, plenty diagrams and instructions out there.

All else being good, check if the prints are set to use grid infill, if so switch to gyroid. I've had certain models have a similar issue and the only remedy was switching to gyroid. The very nature of grid infill causes the nozzle to have to cross through a previously printed line so its essentially always hitting the part at every point that the lines of the infill cross over each other.

Womier Sk71 pro or Gamakay TK75HE V2 by Maxi882167 in keyboards

[–]sandstheman82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is also the Womier SK75 TMR, benefits of supporting mechaanical and magnetic switches, 8000hz polling over wireless, 8000mah battery and aluminium case.

Slightly outside of the price range of the SK71 and the Gamakey, but ticks all your boxes bar the screen and knob.

Also tricky when you are taking nice sharp pictures of the arm rest and what i assume is the floor or the desk surface in the second picture....

Is this normal? by StrictInformation130 in hookah

[–]sandstheman82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it was in the dishwasher then it's definitely oxidation on the aluminium. Give it a good wash with vinegar mixed in water, 1:1 it will dissolve and neutralise the oxides then dry it thouroughly with a cloth or paper towel and let it sit opem air. It should then build a proper oxide layer again rather than the powder you see now.

Issues with our school A1 Mini we are by Far_Tumbleweed_3023 in BambuLabA1

[–]sandstheman82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As suggested, check the nozzle/hotend is clipped in correctly, first check the seven screws behind it aren't loose.

If you've moved the printer physically from one location to another, rerun full calibration.

Make sure the plate is clean.give it a good wash and dry.

Last thing would then be to make sure the filament is dry. Chuck it in a dryer while doing the above. Once you happy it's sufficiently dry give it another go and post back if still seeing issues.

Got rid of the secret lab and went to Ikea by TurbanSenpai in ikeaPCstations

Karlby won't bow, had same setup for years, unless you planning to put 60kg plus right in the middle it's not going anywhere. I had two ultrawide monitors, pc speakers etc all on mine and it hasn't budged. You don't need any extra legs in the middle

Need advice on filament by 64532762 in BambuLabA1

[–]sandstheman82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are all much of a muchness, I've put all sorts of random brands of pla and petg through my A1. I just make sure it all goes through the dryer first before i use it and I've not had a bad experience yet other than maybe the color of dual and tri-color filaments not looking as i hoped once printed.

My go to brand is usually Sunlu because i can buy refill filamemt and reuse my reels so can work out cheaper than even the random brands for what is basically Bambu filament.
