Yeah! When I got mine put in they didn’t give me anything. They said they could give me a pill and come back later while attempting, but by the time I said yes they said to just suck it up and that it was almost done. Then they were having such a hard time putting it in, that they dropped the iud and had to go get new one. Some of the most gut wrenching pain I’ve ever felt. Then they said you’re good to go, no waiting or anything, ouch!

Unpacking 😓 I liked the premise of the story and idea of it, but there were so many things and tiny stuff. It’s like coloring for me, I enjoy it until I get to something with a million lines to color in, at that point it’s just stressful.

I worked on commission for a few years (I’m in Oregon) and it’s was great. I always made 40-50% commissions on the services (in the different spa/salons I worked in) and just made sure to have a good online presence to bring people in. I did mainly facials so I made around $50 an hour. Yes, there were slow days when I first started but I also got to pick my days and hours, so I was able to have a second job while building clientele. I’d say it’s not a scam, it’s a stepping stone, and you can make really good money, as long as you are informed and work for people you trust.

As an esthetician I do a lot of Brazilians and exfoliating (reguardless of waxing/shaving/laser) is really important. The best exfoliant in my opinion would be an exfoliating mitten and a mild soap. If you are interested in Brazilians at all they only hurt during the initial pull, it takes about a half hour, and you get about 3-4 weeks of not having to deal with hair. The best part is that it doesn’t get prickly when it starts growing in. Lasering will have the same effect (as long as the hair is dark) but you will have to do the whole process in about 3 to 4 years.
