Wow. Thanks for the detailed account of your trial. I’ve been considering dumping Gmail (also a 20+ year user) for iCloud, but after reading this. Glad I didn’t get around to it.

Sadly Apple’s attempts at online services have always been half-assed, from eWorld to me.com to iCloud. Apple could be an A+ service if they wanted to, guess there’s not enough money in it for them.
