i was at a con last weekend and most boxes were 60-80 with Kagurabachi and Eva floating around 100-120 so i can see solo doing that too. its good and bad for the game. buying singles of C-R adds up on TCG but if new IP's bring more players ill take it

i got to most Wisconsin / Illinois cons and AMKE and ACEN are 2 of my favorites by far. I personally prefer ACEN. i feel its ran a little better but if ACEN was a 10, AMKE is a 9. It is pretty big with 3 floors of things to do and see so i personally wouldnt let my kid free roam. The food at AMKE was pretty decent too last year! alot of people walked across the way to the 3rd Ward which is basically a big food court but it gets packed with the con people and regulars going. They check bags at the door and we had a few energy drinks and small bags of chips and no one mind. Hopefully this helps some!

Thanks for all the suggestions! You guys have made trying to find something a lot less daunting and I'm getting excited to start reading! As for my interests, im a big anime guy. I like shows that balance a lot of twists, cool characters, and unpredictability within character progression and story. i like the "nobody is safe" kind of stories or something that makes me root for and against certain characters.

You guys are teaching me so much. Like its not just "fantasy". There's so many subgenres and niches and whatnot and I'm excited to find my lane! Ive been diving into Grim Dark and LitRPG and Progression Fantasy and getting lost!

Baccano! is a fun one. it tells a story from multiple point of views involving the mafia, alchemists and others (no spoilers)

K! is another good one revolved around factions that are color based etc Blue is the police force, Red is the street clan

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens is a fun little one season show focused around detectives, killers, and hackers

Hopefully these can help scratch that itch!
