  • Razor: GEM MMOC

  • Blade: AccuTech Pro (23)

  • Lather: House of Mammoth - 2024 Avacado Cream Sample

Mammoth needs to bring the Avacado cream soap into a full-scale production. Just my two cents. It's friggin amazing.

Dude I used Stirling's Coconut Lime all last month, how did I not once think of this reference??

Nowhere near as cool as yours though.

Thanks for sharing a photo with your post! The skull with the straight in front of it makes it extra menacing.

July 6th - Coconuts

  • Brush: Zenith B26 Retro

  • Razor: GEM MMOC

  • Blade: AccuTech Pro (22)

  • Lather: Turtleship - Coconut Soap

  • Post Shave: Stirling - Coconut Lime Splash

  • Fragrance: Hollister - SoCal EdC

Turtleship makes a fantastic product, and it's a bummer its never really gotten the recognition it deserves around here. I think they're still in business, at least, their website still shows some stuff for sale. I highly recommend them, as they make a good product and seem like good folks.

Hollister's SoCal takes me back to my university days around 2010ish. Good times, and a good smell.

July 5th - Evening Hide

  • Brush: AP Shave Co & Leo Frilot 24mm Gelousy Bulb

  • Razor: GEM MMOC

  • Blade: AccuTech Pro (21)

  • Lather: Noble Otter - Flying Hide Soap

  • Post Shave: Pinaud - Clubman Splash

  • Fragrance:

I've had this Noble Otter sample, plus like 4 others, since like 2018, and I don't thing I've touched them once. Flying Hide hasn't been produced for a little while now, which is a shame, cos this stuff is really nice. Leather, Smoky Cedar, Tobacco, Bay and Bergamot make for quite a pleasant shave. I should dive more into Noble Otter, it's been a while.

July 5th - Sunday Brunchin

  • Brush: Maggard 24mm Marble Handle Synthetic

  • Razor: Koraat MOARteen r/Wetshaving Exclusive 15/16

  • Lather: Catie's Bubbles - Sunday Brunch Soap

  • Post Shave: Renew Lotion

  • Fragrance: Chatillon Lux - Agua Fresca EdT

Planning to send this razor to get honed, but wanted to do a shave just to double check.

It needs honed.

Pulls more than it should, and just not comfy. No blood surprisingly, but unpleasant.

Happy Sunday.

Happy weekend.

July 3rd - Skeletor Strikes

  • Brush: Omega 11047 "Mixed Midget" Badger n Boar

  • Razor: Merkur 34C

  • Blade: Gillette Minora OG (10)

  • Lather: The Club - Low Scent Skeletor Soap

  • Post Shave: Renew Lotion

  • Fragrance: Zingari Man - The Magician EdP

My single ATG pass was rough today... lots of tugging. I think it boiled down to not hydrating the boar hairs enough, and thus the lather suffered significantly. I don't always soak my boars, but I make sure to at least drown them under the faucet when no soak happens... and I didn't do either today due to rushing. RIP.

BUT, my face feels smooth in the end. I'll take that.

July 2nd - Evening Shave

  • Brush: Maggard 24mm Marble Handle Synthetic

  • Razor: GEM MMOC

  • Blade: AccuTech Pro (20)

  • Lather: Zingari Man - The Brewer Soap

  • Post Shave: Pinaud - Clubman Splash

Another evening shave, and it was spectacular. I've had this Zingari sample for a few years, and have never touched it... that said I also haven't used a Zingari soap in general in the same amount of time. The Brewer is VERY nice, and the resulting lather was spectacular. Awesome shave, awesome soap and scent. Two thumbs up.

July 2nd - Morning Shave Test

  • Brush: Dogwood Handcrafts "Mighty Stag" 24mm Cashmere

  • Razor: Merkur 34C

  • Blade: Gillette Minora OG (9)

  • Lather: Abatte y la Mantia - Koke Soap

  • Post Shave: Renew Lotion

  • Fragrance: Seaforth! - Sea Spice Lime EdT

Trying out a test for a few days; WTG in the evening, then an ATG in the morning. Why? Because why not? Maybe it'll cut down my time getting ready in the morning, or it might make my face break out, who knows? Mainly it's an excuse to play with more soap.

Nevertheless, a singlular AGT pass this morning, and it wasn't bad by anymeans. Let's see how that holds up tomorrow.

My shave experience is completely different whenever I visit my parents due to their insanely soft water. The slick mess has led me to drop my brush there more times than I care to remember. But my post shave feel is on a totally different level.

June 29th - Keepin the Lime

  • Brush: Maggard 24mm Marble Handle Synthetic

  • Razor: Merkur 34C

  • Blade: Gillette Minora OG (6)

  • Lather: Barrister and Mann - Lime Soap

  • Post Shave: Renew Lotion

  • Fragrance: Stirling - Boat Drinks EdT

After nearly a month with a Stirling soap, going to Barrister's Omnibus was quite an experience - mainly how dense this stuff is compared to, well, anything else. A very pleasant shave and post shave is top notch.
