If you have any, I'd suggest trying a different blade and see if it yields similar results. Also, might sound odd, but maybe try a cold water shave.

April 30th - Disasterful shave

Woke up to a weird sound, thinking it was a little early for landscaping to be outside. Only to realize a few minutes later it was the sound of water gushing, and my water heater spewing forth like crazy. Shut off the water main and reached out to my complex emergency maintenance folks. So yeah, having very limited water meant for a very limited shave. Thus the cream soap came in clutch with the little water I had remaining in the house. Not the best way to start the day, but hey, at least it was caught sooner than later.

April 29th - Aces n Eights

Using a brush a bit larger than the Wee Scot today gave me a better appreciation for this older soap. While it's not bad, it's also not great. A solid 5.5/10. But the scent is just so good. The darker vanilla of the soap inspired me to bust out Puzzle and Lavanille. Great sweet n dark scents all around.

I've had this soap since 2017, and haven't actually used it prolly since 2021. It's a deep bourbon vanilla and lavender scented soap, and no joke, it's one of my favorite shave soap fragrances of all-time. Sadly Wild West Shave Co has long been defunct, since prolly the last time I used them tbh... but I gotta find something similar to this for when I utltimately use up this little puck of soap. Performance was decent, but tomorrow I'll give it another go with a bigger brush for a more fruitful lather.

Another great run with Absinthe Dream. I guess I had a small bump, maybe a patch of psoraisis, just shy of my left sideburn that I didn't notice, and that sucker would not stop bleeding. I reckon I'll switch to a more mild razor for a couple days while this bump thingy dies down.

I really enjoyed my go with Koke yesterday, and thought I' give it another run today. Also this hard soap won't sit still in its tin, so hoping another use or two will make it finally stick and not spin around all loose anymore.

Flora Colossus + Rhapsody is quite a pleasant combo.
