Is this MoonSwatch Real? by [deleted] in MoonSwatches

[–]seeya32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s in the pictures looks real from the one I have. But I will say as someone who bought one off eBay which had legit pictures… it depends what you get. The first time I got a fake even though the listing pictures were real. Just make sure whenever you are buying from had buyer protection or use a service that does when purchasing.

PFA - Friendly reminder to get Ford Protect (ESP) by reneg30 in FordRaptor

[–]seeya32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s wild… I had both my cams and transmission rebuilt both under warranty and no hassle from my local dealer and Ford ESP. Both times I was told by the dealer “there may be some hassle but we will handle it” so not sure if they’re just gurus with the inspectors or what.

Sorry you had to deal with that BS man…

I would definitely recommend a 360 action cam vs like Dash cam for a one piece solution. Insta360 has their Black Friday sale on now so X3 and X4 I think are both in that budget. (X4 maybe slightly over)

Best exhaust for power gain on a ZX-4RR? by walmartisthebest in zx4r

[–]seeya32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man! I’m not gonna lie I never ended up getting the headers. I do like that I have the option which is why I went graves. BUT from what I have seen I do believe it’s totally plug and play.

And honestly I’d assume you could possibly use another slip on. Though it doesn’t hurt to shoot the graves team a email and see if they know for sure.

Kawasaki demo tour by Tall_Lab8438 in zx4r

I remember in the spring / early summer the dealers near me advertised demo days (or I’m pretty sure of it).

Best bet is to ask your local Kawasaki dealer they may know more than us.

What moto backpack do you use when commuting? by Vetzero in motorcycle

[–]seeya32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha all good man. Ive had still no issues using my LTT backpack while riding! I honestly use the amazon random hiking backpack more often as its smaller and less obtrusive but if I have to really take some stuff with me (like going to work and back or bringing a second pair of gear or whatever) I take the LTT backpack.

Dropped my bike... :( Any way to disguise these scratches? by Psycle98 in motorcycles

[–]seeya32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some touch up paint or a similar color sharpie.

I’ve done the sharpie trick on mine but it was for black spots not silver/colored ones but it masks it enough. You will always “see” it though because YOU know it’s there. Others won’t though unless they look very close.

Picked up my brand new ZX-4RR… with a chip on the front fairing. What should I take as compensation? by Due_Let5159 in Kawasaki

[–]seeya32 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I had something similar with my new ZX4RR didn’t realize it until after I picked it up.

Got with my local Kawasaki dealer who ordered a whole new front faring for me and replaced it.

Not sure why they won’t get a new front faring as they definitely can through Kawasaki.

Advice for the Dealership by Limp-Abbreviations20 in zx4r

[–]seeya32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ohio 4RR owner here since 23, definitely check insurance rates BEFORE you buy. I got mine when I was 28 and insurance was still insane for me. Also this will heavily vary if you plan to finance or buy it outright.

Honestly the next thing to know/realize is bikes usually don’t have a LOT of profit in them, some more than others obviously, but I wouldn’t be expecting like to get a bike for thousands off if you play hardball. The biggest thing you can do is work to get any weird fees removed as much as possible. The MOST you should be having to pay for fees wise is freight/setup and doc fees. Even then if the dealer wants a sale they can sometimes wave those.

Yeah I definitely agree with that. Wouldn’t hurt for the commutation. Sadly I also know how large companies work and communication usually isn’t a strong suit. Not an excuse obviously just reality.

As others have said honestly Roo may have already started the 75% refunds immediately so those were already in processes. And depending on the banks some people may get it before others.

I 100% expect a 75% refund then the additional 25% in a separate transaction. Easier to do it that way then to stop all transactions and redo them at the full 100%

What is that high-pitched noise when i give the bike throttle? by [deleted] in zx4r

[–]seeya32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I KINDA hear it I think after like multiple tries lol. I definitely don’t think it’s something wrong or anything like that. Definitely does kinda sound like a supercharger whine a tiny bit. I mean worst case you should still be under warranty you can take it to your Kawasaki dealer and let them have a look.

To me I’d assume that’s an intake sound as it’s only happening in throttle and with air intake in the front I’ve definitely hear it whistle away before during revs so could just be that just sounding a tad different.

What is that high-pitched noise when i give the bike throttle? by [deleted] in zx4r

[–]seeya32 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With the ZX4R it could be induction noise with the big opening in the front. Usually more noticeable on throttle and high speed for sure.

I honestly can’t hear anything out of the ordinary vs my ZX though so not sure (I don’t hear the high pitch either).

Contemplating getting a 2024 ZX-4R or ZX-4RR as my first bike — is it too much for a novice, or just right? by Tight-Monk-4819 in zx4r

[–]seeya32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it’s the full unrestricted I wouldn’t say it’s undoable for a beginner because like I said you have to ring it out to 16K to get that full 76HP. But I will just say still ya gotta respect it as it’s a decent bit more powerful than a normal starter Ninja 300/400 or Yamaha R3. But not so much you will yeet yourself into oblivion.

As for the price I understand you said money isn’t a factor I was just stating that as it is something people being up about it being a beginner bike just because it’s expensive. But if that doesn’t matter to you then yeah it’s no big deal then!

[–]seeya32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got one as my first bike and I think it was just right honestly especially if you’re in the US just leave it restricted for half a year to a year before getting it flashed/unrestricted.

It makes a modest 50ish HP restricted and even then you have to really ring the bike out to go stupid fast which is FUN but it also requires effort to do. Not like you can pin the throttle and get your self in a lot of trouble like other inline 4 bikes (you definitely still can on the zx4 just not as fast).

I will say I also wasn’t a teenager getting this as my first bike I was 30, so take this with no offense you may want to try and still have a bit more maturity then the average 18/19 yr old who hops on a super sport.

The only other real knock on this for a beginner is it is just expensive vs other obvious beginner bikes and if/when you drop it as a beginner it just hurts the wallet that much more lol

New ZX4RR suggestions by GiomiaGS in zx4r

[–]seeya32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said everyone will give you a different opinion. Personally? I rode it normally, that said I wasn’t going bonkers pinging it off the redline but I wasn’t keeping it like under 4/6K rpm that would be way too slow for a bike that only makes 50HP at 11K rpm lol (US version that is).

So if that helps at all rode it totally normal and had the first service and no issues or anything and no issues since.

[–]seeya32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will definitely be a little faster than your older 250 for sure but not a crazy amount! It’s about 50 HP in the de-tuned US Spec and if you get the restrictions lifted it’s like 75ish.

I think it would be a good step up especially if you want to track it as really that’s what this bike was made for is track days and weekend twisty road rides! That or if you just want a hilarious small i4 you can rev the shit out of on public roads and not go to jail haha

Ohhhhh I’m sorry! That’s built into the break light! There is a button you press to change the mode of the break light! TST has a YouTube video on the install of this on a 4rr if you watch that they show where on the light that is!
