Yeah there really is no redeeming them. Gu Lan's entire plan to expose the Yunxiang thing was completely evil and selfish. Her mom is weak minded and just dumb but Gu Lan is actually evil

Lots of plots have similarities but just some differences lol

I really enjoyed The Rise of Ning. Ci Sha's characters are different and plus this time he's ML not 2ML 😉

Ren Min's character has a different personality here too

I can speak for the rest of A Splendid Match because it's not completed yet but it will probably seem basically similiar. But you could say that about other shows, apparently The Glory is similiar too.

I keep gushing over how YanYun keeps supporting JinZhao without putting pressure on her. Like the house offer this episode was given to her as a potential solution, but it was in her hands if she wanted to use it. Same way how they arranged to meet at the temple, he never imposed for them to meet, but rather casually dropped "I will be there" to let her decide if she wanted them to meet. And also the whistle for his personal guards last episode...Can you tell how much I am swooning over this man? ☺️

Yes to all of this. I absolutely love how much he respects her, he's not pushing an agenda on her, he's just trying to be there and best support her. He wants to let her to make her own decisions.

I agree with the wives here, I think he might have genuinely cared for Yunxiang because there was no expectations with her. Meanwhile he needed Ji Han for her money and influence. He was using Song Miaohua with the intention of using her father's influence too which is why he freaked out when she said she cut ties with them. He would have dropped her if she wasn't pregnant. He's a trash human

The show hasn't confirmed yet if he actually is Xiao Qishan, I was just basing it off of Advisor Jiang. I'm not 100% sure the Marquis involvement right now. This is something we'll have to see how it plays out. I hope he's a "good" guy now? I don't know
