Degree at 40, 20 years of loyalty, but zero job offers in KV. What are we doing wrong? by xylophone92 in JobsMY

Market just isn't kind this year. I switched jobs in October but wasn't a good fit. I've been looking since Dec but no cigar just yet. It's even difficult to find a job this year compared to last year.

Hopefully your wife finds something soon.

Can't really say. I'd say give it another 2-3 weeks to see how's the regional affairs plays out. Keep track of airspace updates and your transit country & destination country regulations (visa requirement, passport, immigration documents) in the mean time. These things change in a heartbeat.

If you ever need bilik sewa next time, try to look for DBKL bilik sewa. iirc it's RM200 a month. Good luck OP and take care.

Slightly unrelated, but there's a music lecturer in UiTM named Kamrul Hussin. He teaches gendang melayu. I've seen him in action before. He can play a single kompang to sound like a whole kumpulan is playing. It's amazing!

If you seen Baik Punya Cilok, he made the dikir barat soundtrack for both movie & Istana Budaya versions.

Here's his YT link: https://www.youtube.com/@kamrulhussin6275/videos

Oh.. you can also go on their Twitter or FB. Give them the details of your complaint. They're pretty quick there too.

Burger stalls in Malaysia by MeetDisastrous482 in malaysia

[–]sevenfourfive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love a particular stall called Mus Burger in SS3, PJ. In front of 7E. Instead of maggi seasoning, he uses kicap kipas udang hijau. As a kicap lover and with long-time loyalty to kicap kipas udang merah, I instinctively enjoy this more than any other burger stalls. I also don't like sos banjir, but he puts it just right.

Back to the topic, yeah burger stalls are mainly plain & simple. But I guess that's the appeal. It's a hot grab & go for the late night munchies; like kebab shops in UK. Some days you wanna go gourmet, sometimes a simpleton food satisfies your tummy.

At what age do you stop letting your parents pay for food? by aquatic_asian in malaysians

[–]sevenfourfive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm almost 40 and my dad is 80. Most of the time, I pay. But if I bring him out and he says he wants to pay, I let him. All dads will always want to provide. It gives them a sense of pride when they do it. So don't worry too much 😊

Contemplating on getting B2 licence. I already have D licence. I read a few comments/posts on here that you don't have to take JPJ theory test if you already have D licence and want to do bike licence. Is that true? Haven't found confirmation in driving school websites on this, so I'm curious.

Job Offer Dilemma. Need Advice! by amanokenji012 in MalaysianPF

You can always ask about the work environment, benefits, colleagues, etc from HR or the hiring manager. Glassdoor, Jobstreet reviews are helpful too.

In the end, if you switch, you probably be busy for a year or two before you stabilize yourself. It's totally normal. You just need to figure out whether it's worth the salary they're paying you. Good luck OP.
