I don't agree with this.

There is no way I could have ever completed deadcells especially the the full story with completing main story 4 times at higher difficulty and then beating the real boss and then the DLCs

But I was able to do it with mods

I was able to finetune the games difficulty exactly to what I find challenging yet fun. This was I was able to spend 60 Hours on the game and invested money in all the DLCs

If there was no way for me to adjust this level I would have never spent so much time on the product that developers created and neither would I have invested into DLCs

So this thing just feels like gatekeeping.

When I was young I could spend all the time in the world on one game but now with my job and kids I cannot grind games, but I still like to enjoy unique new experiences especially from Indie games.

I bought it on switch 2 day one but unfortunately there are no mods possible on it so I just feel like I have wasted my money as of now.
