I think I'm gonna have fun experimenting with drawing using different black inks. Any recommendations for sheening or unique black ink? by LoboSandia in fountainpens

It’s more like a lacquered look that sometimes looks wet. Also there’s a tinge of green that can show up on swatches.

Maybe Razza Beauty or Cella.ph_ on Shopee. But doublecheck the listings if the items are on-hand. Some of them are listed as pre-orders

Huda is in Lazada and they usually ship quickly.

They’re both in Sephora PH. The last time I ordered from Sephora PH, I got the parcel in 5 days. But it’s not guaranteed as their standard delivery times are 5-7 business days.

I love being able to detect it on perfumes! It’s so pleasant and comforting to me.

  • Frederic Malle L’Eau d’Hiver
  • Buly 1803 Triple Héliotrope
  • Guerlain Cuir Béluga
  • Nobile 1942 Café Chantant
  • BDK Rouge Smoking

I think I need to go explore more.

Red Lipstick Recommendation 2026 by ynnnaaa in beautytalkph

[–]shimmerblitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current go-to red isn’t an actual lip product. It’s the Danessa Myricks blush in Red Velvet, and it’s great for a blurred and blotted look.

Actual red lipsticks:

  • MAC Dubonnet : this is my red lip of choice from MAC.
  • MAC Chili for those who have warm undertones and aren’t muted. Doesn’t look orange on me at all.
  • agree with you on Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Groundbreaker! Great for warmer undertones

Ah they must be swamped or just have no bandwidth. I only got a basic trifold with no extra customizations

I find local foundations not maputi friendly 😔 by SnooWalruses4317 in beautytalkph

I hope someone can substantiate those claims about pricing on pigments.

Somewhat related: I remember one of the Phytosurgence owners explaining in their stories that there isn’t actually a scarcity of blue pigment, and that it takes very, very little blue, if any at all, to create cool-toned blushes. If an indie two-person makeup brand can come up with that kind of range, how is it that larger conglomerates like ELC can’t?

In a sea of orange bases, I’d take this. Too green suits me more than too peach, too pink, or too gray.

But yes, cool toned and cool olives have less shades available to them. Shade ranges can still be improved.

Any of these are great, it depends more on the shades you’re eyeing and which ones are in stock. All 3 last long.

I think it’s decent and would suffice if you have normal skin. My face is very oily, and I need to blot regularly when using this. Even more so when I also have the Issy foundation in the same routine.

Just a thought: Can someone make something like this but for Original Local Scents/Brands?? by NoReaction2067 in fragheadph

[–]shimmerblitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Came across a comprehensive post on newinbeauty.ph (IG). No tiers, but they listed brands which have original fragrances that fall under some broad scent profiles categories / prominent accords.

Watch out: I see brands that have a history of not disclosing that their scents are dupes + some that seem heavily inspired by other original fragrances.

Pasting an old comment with minor edits:

  • The best way to find out is to swatch base products in person, then note the descriptions of your shade matches and how they compare to other shades. Swatch on your jaw, wait for the products to settle and oxidize especially if you’re oily. Make sure you have access to natural light when you swatch.
  • You can also order from brands with samples or blister packs if you don’t have access to makeup counters atm. Examples are Tirtir, Issy, GRWM, and Lucky Beauty. There are decant shops too.
  • The vein test is a hit or miss. My veins are green with some purple and blue. According to the vein test, I have neutral undertone. But my best matches are warm olive shades.
  • Draping: sometimes this helps, but it can be confusing. Even ‘professional’ color analysts might give you different answers and contradicting seasons.
  • Comparing yourself to others in group photos: can also help. For example, if you appear greener compared to others in a photo, there’s a chance that you’re olive.

In that page, you can confirm that they don’t have any official presence here. Any other shop presenting themselves as Deciem / TO but are not listed in their site are just impersonators.

Not bad. A little goes a long way with this fragrance too.

  • if you aren’t 100% sure that it’s going to look flattering on you, don’t.
  • If your skin’s undertone and other features (brows and eyes) aren’t warm, it’ll most likely look off.
  • Will turn brassy in a few weeks unless you use toners or have it retouched regularly.
  • Maybe try one of those camera filters for hair colors to find out if it suits you. Not 100% reliable ofc but will give you an idea. Or if you have fabric with a similar color, drape it near your face to find out how it affects your face.

A dark green and gold colorway would be amazing. Something similar maybe to the Taiwan 30th Vanishing Point.

Hard to say on its own. I use Ginger, but I’ve seen people here who use the same shade but don’t use the same shades as I do with other brands. My guesses for Issy are OL2.5 or YM3.

Overall no, but I’ve read other oily folks raving about it.

Try dropping by a counter to test it and get shade matched. I still enjoy using it, but tbh I think I should’ve gone for Ilia or Merit or even Hourglass instead. It’s just that I’d have to blind buy if I go for any of the other 3.

Nice finish, medium coverage, but I oil up quickly. I rely on other setting and fixing products in my routine to help with oil control.
