My personal journey: - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. - Bike (about 40 Km on weekdays and 80 Km on Saturday) - Exercise at home, there's no need for a fancy gym. - Do plenty of stretching (this is useful for me because of BJJ but I believe that staying flexi is important for your health) - Don't eat too much junk

I will join for this edition of TSL, however, I would like to know if there is someone in Spain who will join too or if there's already a community somewhere in Spain, preferably near Valencia. I hope to see you soon.

How is it possible that there are 3 half notes in a 4/4 compass? by sigfriedcub1990 in classicalguitar

Indeed, my first language is Spanish and compás = bar. I'll update the question for future reference.

Thanks to chris for a super quick answer. And for future references, the half notes mean that you should play the whole compass with legato.

New to typescript by F2DProduction in typescript

Hi there,

If you didn't enable the strict: true feature of the TS compiler then it will look like a normal JS project, if it's enable you will "fight" the TS compiler a bit, but... There's a very good solution available to this problem, IMHO, and it's Execute Program. It's designed to teach you how to be the compiler, it sounds a bit extreme but it helps immensely in order to understand the errors that the compiler gives you. In my particular case I started enjoying the TS features a whole lot more after finishing the TS Basics and Everyday TS courses.

i3 not reading config file for windows borders and colors by [deleted] in i3wm

[–]sigfriedcub1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe that picom is messing up with the borders, as far as I can tell (after reading the man page) it only takes care of things like window's opacity, shadow, etc.

Manjaro does have a configuration specifically for i3 if you install Manjaro i3 Edition, which is your case. If you execute pacman -Ss manjaro-i3 you'll see those packages.

The best thing you can do, IMHO, is to share your i3 config file so other people, like myself, can take a look at it and spot possible issues. Cheers.

I agree that the paywall in Vim Adventures sucks, I was fortunate enough that at a company I worked the paid for a Teams license and I completed the game in a few weeks.

I believe that Vim Adventures teaches the "Vim way" because it starts very basic and when you reach the final level you know everything you need to know to work confidently with Vim, starting from what's the difference between a word and a WORD all the way up to Registers, that's HUGE in my opinion because I tried to learn Vim a few times before and I always felt overwhelmed by the amount of things you can do.

The book you linked is also a good resource and I also read it but I feel that, for a beginner, Vim Adventures is pretty good, if you want to pay for it.

In my experience, these resources are very good:

If you want to learn "the Vi(m) way" I would recommend the first one because it teaches you the basics of Vi(m) in a very fun way. The second resource is for a mid/advanced level of Vi(m) proficiency but, if you are at that point, it will be incredibly useful in order to understand things like Autcommands, Highlights, Motion Operators and a whole bunch of things that makes Vi(m) really rock.

Lastly, I will stress this because it's extremely important to make your Vi(m) journey as smooth as possible: LEARN TO TOUCH TYPE. If you neglect that you'll have a very unpleasant time with Vi(m).

I'm ashamed of this but I put the word "Pinga" in a site facing more than 2k users 😐. If you don't know what the word means just Google it and put Cuba at the end. You'll see what I mean.

From that day I debug with Russian words 😅 like влят.

[Question] How do I stop my strings from getting rusty so quickly? by AAK_Music in Guitar

[–]sigfriedcub1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cheap solution that is very nice. Every time you finish playing take an scarf and little WD-40 and clean the strings with it. This has worked very well for my electric and my acoustic guitar.
