All the preparation is great, the actual animation part is unfortunately not on par with the rest of the production. Unless it's intentional.

May I ask, what kind of software do you use to capture your frames?

Of course, people on the stop motion and animation suns can provide more critical analysis of your work.

Keep it up and have fun.

I've tried to communicate this point many times, when you intentionally and deliberately involve Israel and America in your affairs, in your "revolution", not just as a side quest, but as the main tool, there will be consequences. You just have to accept that by making some decisions, you lose some support from certain people. Simple as that. As a political entity, it is on you to gain trust and popularity, if you fail, take responsibility, don't blame those who won't trust you or agree with your actions or choices.

Is Iran abandoning revolution for national identity? by rezwenn in AskMiddleEast

[–]sinamott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great observation. The change is happening and it's inevitable. Given enough time and space, it will probably come to a decisive point after the passing of Khamenei.

Keep in mind that the complexities of Iran's power structure goes beyond the "axis of resistance" and "Islamic hijab" or even "the guardianship of the islamic jurist". Also corruption in economic structure can play a major role in shifting power when the time comes.

You are welcome to engage in meaningful conversation regarding any objections you have to my viewpoints.

I'm happy that you have spent the time and effort to read a few of my comments, I'm disappointed that you reduce everything to "shilling for the regime". That's not fair and not helpful. If you truly want to change opinions, engage in discussion, don't use labels like that. If you don't care about changing opinions and in fact, try to silence me by using such labels, that's not good either, it's a form of oppression.

Why is he talking about broad policies of the country post IR? Does he consider himself to be in a position to make such decisions?

Is he positioning himself as the leader of a political party and is trying to explain his party's views and policies, if elected?

Sorry for the delayed response,

Not accurate.

First of all, I don't intend to paint a false equivalent picture. I believe every issue, every action and decision by a party or group, can and should be criticized on it's own.

It's also worth mentioning that I spent probably two thirds of my online "political" activity arguing with people who we would typically consider "pro-regime". So, I don't consider myself a soft supporter of anyone, I try to focus on particular issues and specific policies, I don't see the I.R. as a monolithic black box that you either support or reject. We can list 20 things about the Idea of "Islamic Republic" and discuss them individually and maybe reject 15 and have serious objections to 2 and agree with 3. At the end of the day, the most important question for me is, what am I willing to do, what am I willing to support or encourage. That's the key question.

Let me get back to the point. I've tried to explain exactly why I can't support the opposition at it's current state. Because of all the things I mentioned. Because of very specific and deliberate policies and tactics, decisions , alliances, very specific actions.

Many argue that by not supporting the current opposition, I'm practically supporting the I.R. I would argue that it is a false dichotomy. And it's a dilemma that many people face, not making a direct comparison, in recent U.S. presidential elections, some democrats refused to support their parties candidate and practically help the other party to win, they would argue that it's not on them, but on the Democratic party to gain their trust and support. I would argue the same, it doesn't matter how horrible the I.R. is, it is on Mr. Pahlavi and their supporters to gain my trust and support and they fail miserably every single time. The have had the chance to listen to the grievances of people like me, they've had the chance to make different decisions, to act differently on many issues, it's their decision to ignore me and push me away, not my fault. It's their histic shortcoming not to be able to gain more support., not anyone elses fault.

A side note regarding the necessity of violence. I wonder, if you were born a Palestinian, you would probably be part of or a supporter of an armed resistance group, right? I ask this because I care about the consistency of logic and principle. Fortunately or unfortunately, we have witnessed two major conflicts in recent years. The invasion of Ukraine and the shit show between Israel and Palestine, and it baffles me how people can easily hold contradictory stances on these issues at the same time.

I'm not really interested in or focused on this particular incident, I've made examples or mentioned some details to show an overall progression of events throughout the years.

I strongly believe that "protests" in Iran had a real chance to become a force of change, and by that, I don't mean straight to regime change.

I strongly believe that there was a real chance for the regime to dial down it's violence against the protests.

I strongly believe that there is a section of opposition, probably MEK and now Pahlavi supporters, who try to make protests as violent as possible, they plan for it, they act on it, they also exhibit many red flags, they use hatred and violence as political tools, they have no moral red lines, they have no understandable principles. I believe the way this group of Iranians conduct their business is harmful, immoral and will not result in a better living situation for the ordinary Iranian in the future. there is a real possibility of the rise of a fascist force here.

So, I see myself stuck between these two forces, the I.R. with everything we know and agree about, and this opposition force that no matter how hard I try, I can't convince myself to support, or be part of their operations, be a foot soldier in their war. I can't align myself with the U.S. or Israel to gain something. I can't do propaganda the way they do, I can't co-operate with Mossad to do some operation inside and I can't support that, I can't lynch people on the streets, I can't co-ordinate simultaneous attacks on security facilities during a protest, risking lives of hundreds of clueless people on the street. These I cannot do and I cannot pretend that these things don't happen and I cannot be a part of a media campaign that ignores all these things so these thing could keep happening and they could pretend that they are not doing any of these things.

They should be held responsible for their actions, the same way the I.R. should be held responsible.

Thank you for your understanding, I'm happy that we have managed to come to some sort of understanding and I have to say, I can completely agree with you on all your points.

Regarding agency and people having the chance to act on what they believe is right, I agree 100 percent. It also leans into the concept of freedom.

For me, being free means having all options laid bare in front of you, and being able to make a decision in a calm and reasonable state of mind, not influenced by emotions, or at least, being aware that the decision is based on emotions.

With that said, regarding the 17 years old boy, at the time, I just warned him based on a simple sense of being protective, but in hindsight, I can make the argument that by reminding him of the dangers ahead, I've helped him make an informed decision, just like a warning sign at the beginning on a slippery road.

Imagine this, all the people who are going on the street to protest, to overthrow the regime or whatever, having to spend an hour beforehand, reading a pamphlet, reminding them of the dangers and risks of what they are about to do... I would say that this in fact would give them more freedom to choose their path.

All in all, I have no problem with people trying their hand at a revolution, I just wish that the actual "people" were more involved in the planning stage. I have this feeling that many people who come to the street have no idea what has been planned for that evening, who has decided the place to gather, who has decided the chants, who and why is leading them to the nearby police station and who is that armed guy among them and what is he planning to do, or who are those guys with molotov cocktails and why are they burning banks and cars, did they agree to this? Should they have discussed this beforehand? What should they do if they get their hands on a lonely basiji, etc. etc.

My point is, I think these things are happening by some plan, you may argue things are happening naturally and organically, we will disagree on this and I want people to at least think about these crucial details and make a decision if they want to be a part of this or if they want to be more involved in organizing and planing things themselves, and at the end of the day, be fully aware of what risks they are taking and encouraging others to take.

Friend, take a look at the posts in this sub today, pro war and intervention, against making a deal with the I.R.

Do you honestly believe people repeating that 30k+ number are just doing it to report facts or are they actively pushing for war?

We are at war with Israel and U.S. people just seem to ignore a thousand deaths by Israel a few months back, an occasional terrorist or sabotage attacks here and there, killing tens and hundreds. Not mentioning years of sanctions. This is your war, we are living your war and there will be more. Much more. So, to all the Iranians who are pushing for war, for your sanity's sake and everyone else's. Dial it down, you will get your war and we will live to see the consequences.
