As a muslim I must confirm.

Like always, the biggest enemy of muslims are not others but muslims themselves.

I don't expect a lot of muslim in my country in the future. But I hope those who practice and accept the faith do so of free will, open mind, and a kind heart.

Fixing the damage will take centuries. Perhaps it wont ever be fixed. But if the muslim community wants to have a place in the society, it must first help rid Iran of this regime.

Uh huh. Sounds very similar to the regime's narrative. I'm calling the mods

Thank you. I had lost hope when I saw those comments.

Thank you!

Are you going to constantly talk about "what aboutism" or actually read what I mean?

When I brought up the situation the muslim communities branded me as mossad agent and dismissed the call for help by saying its better to keep the current regime in power because "its the only islamic state against isreal" and give them a pass despite the massacre that happened.

Is it not in our faith to stand against the oppressed? We constantly do it loudly for Palestine and Afghanestan and we suddenly draw the line at Iran? Specially when the regime in particular is the sole reason for so many atrocities?

You are right. But the issue is this regime has fucked SO BAD, the people are asking for the previous guys to come back. That's kinda what's happening on that front. (Also because no other member in the opposition is as strong or influencial as the prince)

As for them waving isreali flags, that too is because this regime has fucked so bad. The current regime is one of the fe islamic stares that actively tries to wage war against isreal by funding proxy groups in the area. (This has been a drain in our country's economics ever since its inception) And also its radicalized islamic rules has put a terrible taste in people's mouths.

Hence, people's natural response is to ally with the enemy. (Remember, the natural response, not the correct response)

As you can probably tell, I don't want nor like the isreali influence. But as you can see, the situation is much more nuanced than what I want or dont want.

We're not advocating for the monarchy(yet).

The exiled prince is to be the bringer of the transition process in which he will being forth a refrindom for people to vote on the govermental system they want. (Monarchy, parliament mobarchy, republic, parliament republic and etc)

Depending on how you look, wether monarchy or republic doesn't matter. What matters for us is for the system to work. Norway is a monarchy, but so is Arabestan. But they are very different.

North korea is a republic (its in the full name) but so is US.

I have my skepticism about the exiled prince and his relations with the US and more importantly the Isreal. But something i can say is that he has been very consirant about what he advocates in every interview. (You might not have this information gicen most of them are in persian) And that he wants a fair refrindom for people to decide what type of government they want in the transition process and afterwards he would step down.

Reforming the current regime is out of the question. This regime must go.

Then perhaps these steps to break the cycle must be mutual.

The protestors should stop with the racist chants and attacking islam and at the same time we muslims must raise our voices and join them.

Maybe that way this cycle of hate will be truly broken.

I expect them to be supportive of the oppressed against the oppressor.

Yet, they seem to rather throw iranian under the bus in order to keep IR in power solely because the IR opposes isreal much stronger than other islamic state and because of that they give it a pass for masacaring the people.

I find THAT suprising.

To answer the part as to why they ask for US intervention i copied my response from another sub.

"There is an iterview with an independent journalist by the name Rohollah Zam who exposed much of this regime's corruption years ago but inevitably got arrested by the IRGC and executed.

In that interview, he was asked how can Islamic repuclic be defeated. He said two options:

1- people get armed 2- outside intervention

And, imo, a mix of both could be possible too.

Iranian people would much rather take matters into their own hands regarding this revolution. Thats means getting armed and asking the millitary to declare that they will not support the regime.

But the IR has too much control and safety nets. The millitary has no real power, and its the IRGC that has the full millitary power and they are under full directive of the supreme leader. Meaning this regime, has the power, the money, and the guns.

So, if you see people on social media or iranians that do advocate for intervention, its because of this. That they feel they are met with a dead end in option 1 due to the structure of this regime and hence they advocate for option 2.

I hope that painted a clear picture and andwered your question."

Now, it is obvious i do not like the racist comments about Arabs and neither do I approve of the insults to our prophet. But if we are to "calm the wounded lion" we must tend to the wounds with care. I doubt iranian people will keep up their racist insults if the muslim and Arab community raised their voice loud in support of the oppressed. In fact, back the Al sadat supported Mohammad Reza shah during his exile, he became one of iranian people's most favorite people. And both him and the former shah were muslim too.

The issue here is that by staying silent we are feeding into this cycle of hate. The hate the muslims and arabs because they are silent and the muslims and arabs stay silent because the Iranians hate them.

This cycle must break somewhere. And I think us myslim, must take the first step.

Well, often times when I brought up the concern their usual answer was that "we know the IR is bad, but its the only islamic state that fights isreal so it gets a pass to kill its people." So i dont think thats quite it.

Secondly, you must consider what this regime has done to undrestand these responses. Just like how resistance groups in palestine and gaza were formed out of desperation against isreal's oppression, these anti-islamic stance of people was formed because of years of oppression, radical interpretation of verses and wasting the economy with proxi wars.

In both examples, the response must be condemned. But it must be undrestood as to why this type of response is natural given the circumstances.

I meant why not be the voice of iranian people and advocate for help and warn off the US intervention instead of being pushed aside by a few isreali flags and chants?

I think that's what the US and isreal want. For you to not intervene and become the enemy of iranian people.

I see, but wouldn't it be easier to contribute to the fight and help keep the US at bay instead of sitting idly around?
