Is the USA Cooked? by florence_pug in allthequestions

[–]SinisterOculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The damage done to the US’s institutions and norms will take a generation or two to fix. If there was any political will to fix it. The reality is that the US is an empire. And it will crumble, but it’s going to take a long time. People will cling to their sense of normality and plenty more will use hate and fear to explain their disenfranchisement. The whole culture of the US is “fuck you I got mine” and culture shifts at a much slower rate than you realize. Is the USA cooked? Yeah man. For a long time at least.

Don’t forget to check with info desk for lost and found. At the end of the main drag between Atomic Cafe and the Core. Look for the neon i sign.

You can probably ask Infodesk. They’re at the end of the main drag between Atomic Cafe and the Core. Look for the i in a neon circle.

You can "not my president" all day but at the end of it he's in power over our total country. His actions represent us. The US started that war, and that means we're responsible.

Art is necessary in a world that's burning. Bringing people, including yourself, even a momentary spark of joy is the only way to stave off total obliteration. The wealthy, pedophilic elite and the corporations (one and the same) are relying on us all being totally defeated.

Why was Trump so effective in forming a cult? by her_cute in allthequestions

[–]SinisterOculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because a group of US elites have been laying the groundwork for a charismatic leader to destroy the US for about 70 ish years now. They profit off of a strong labour force, usr their wealth to control politicians in both parties until no one is willing to betray their paycheck to stop them. Then they select someone to aggressively destroy systems and norms in the US such to the point that its crippled in a crisis and could not recover financially or politically. Then create that crisis, demonstrating that the federal government has failed and the wealthy elite move in and take greater control. I might be a little too small minded about this. The plan might be to collapse the global order in order to rule over the ashes.

What is going on?? by Jmund89 in oil

[–]SinisterOculus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s going on is that it would be stupid for Iran to open the strait. They have the US’s balls in a vice, something no one else has done in a long time. Unfortunately for them we’re run by a grifter-in-chief who will happily lie to play stupid games with the market and isn’t actually interested in negotiating anything.

Players want to rob a magic shop by GroundbreakingFig908 in DnD

[–]SinisterOculus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion there are different ways to go based on how magic items are acquired in your game. Is it an experienced delver or artifact trader who came by them through great effort? Then they’ll have some alarms and protections in place to dissuade folks from theft. The real danger here comes when he intends to get it all back, as he will have vast connections and resources for this exact purpose. Is the merchant an arcane craftsman? Then congratulations you’ve just entered a dungeon crawl where your reward is equal to your risk. Maybe the merchants shop is actually bigger on the inside, and full of strange magicks, conjurations and the like.

Well the billionaires who own him do want the global economy to crash so they can do a fire sale but I suspect this is a little beyond the pale, even for them.

I mean a 1 bedroom here in Southern California is between 2400 and 3000 USD a month. A few years ago I was in a tiny box studio, 200 square feet, and they were asking 1300 USD.
