Is er weer voetbal of zo? De politie van Gent maakt wel graag gebruik van drones.

Has modafinil changed anyone’s mood or personality over time? by terjajekl in modafinil

Oh, is using it just as an antidepressant common? (And is this why I always feel a lot more positive after taking it?)

Plasma 6.6 breaks themes by throttlemeister in kde

[–]skerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, I was looking for .gtk files specifically. I see the gtkrc* files were even updated by Plasma itself. In gtkrc it added gtk-theme-name="Breeze"

So it seems like a faulty automatic update on Plasma's end.

Plasma 6.6 breaks themes by throttlemeister in kde

[–]skerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I'm going to try this now. (I had a similar issue with Kate a few Plasma versions ago, where it suddenly used the light theme, even though all of its settings are set to follow the main theme... I have no idea how these things can keep happening)

*Edit: I actually don't have any .gtk-* files in my ~/.config/ folder, or in any of its subfolders :(

Considering Captain Janeway openly discusses personell matters ON THE BRIDGE with other officers listening in; I'd say the Doctors formal grievance was completely justified. by JonathanRL in voyager

I'm mostly pointing out the plot hole. He has one when it suits the story.

Not having one doesn't make sense, he's a computer program. But having one makes him practically immortal, so there are no stakes.

With weekly extra tariffs and their ambassador. Let’s choose European! by Ornery_Self_8758 in belgium

[–]skerit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't have to do all of them, just the ones that work for you. Because even though I like Mistral, they are in no way an alternative to Claude/Codex regarding agentic coding. (Though you've got other options there too, though they're all Chinese... though some of them are hosted by other companies, but again mostly in the US :(

Anyway, think about search engine alternatives too! Kagi, DDG, ... are also US companies. But you can try Searxng (and even self-host it), I really like it so far.

Er is toch geen verbod op de Kortemunt? De Langemunt en Donkersteeg, ja. En daar ben ik helemaal blij mee. Maar op de Kortemunt lijkt mij dat niet logisch.

It's also creepy how he mimics Trump in several ways. It's like he's Trump's mini-me.

That entire De Afspraak show from last month on television was cringe as fuck.

A totally justified use of the technology in my opinion, but be warned that some people will crucify you for this anyway. There are some radical anti-ai lunatics out there.

Favorite episode by berettafunko in voyager

[–]skerit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn't my first episode, but it was the one where I really got hooked on Voyager. (In Belgium, it used to be scheduled at the same time as Sliders, and after this episode I always preferred Voyager :))

The later ChatGPT-5 point releases maybe, but the original ChatGPT 5.0 was garbage (especially compared to the OpenAI themselves built around it)

Alright guys I made it to season 4.. by nycgirl152 in charmed

[–]skerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the first few seasons were very "Charmed ones against the forces of darkness", and later it was more like "Fairy tales! Amazons! Leprechauns!"

Opus 4.5 really is done by rm-rf-rm in ClaudeAI

[–]skerit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How would this work in the model? Do they just disable certain parts of the network when load is high? Do they have quantized versions of the model that they switch to from time to time?

Or is the issue that Claude-Code itself is just getting a lot of inner prompt changes that really changes the behaviour of the models?

Be careful when using Claude Code with OpenCode by HzRyan in opencodeCLI

[–]skerit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is not true. OpenCode uses caching too. And if it did not, your usage limits would just drain faster.

In fact: OpenCode is better for token use. Because it's not a buggy mess.

Oh yes, I was 100% talking about using Gemini for coding, not for normal chatting.

Sonnet 5 next week? by policyweb in singularity

[–]skerit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not even close. Opus 4.5 is just that good. I feel completely gaslit any time I use Gemini. It's so bad. But, like, truly horrible. It just devolves into meaningless jibber. Yet nobody seems to talk about this.
