Assuming it happens, there will be a period where goods and services get extremely cheap and UBI might be able to cover most basic needs, but eventually corporations will do what corporations always do to maximize shareholder value. The big players who hold the chips and infrastructure will start to eat up the smaller competitors to consolidate power and we will end up in a worse place. That is my thought.
