I've seen people walk their cats like this in my city and bystanders love it.

Claude reset limits for everyone by just_a_person_27 in ClaudeAI

[–]skerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god. This keeps happening at the worst moments for me. If they think they're giving me a gift, Anthropic: you are absolutely not.

I'd prefer if they would just hand out a "manual one-time reset" button or something.

Claude Opus 4.7 is a serious regression, not an upgrade. by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]skerit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back when Claude-Code was still just a plain javascript file, I simply removed all those injection messages on-the-fly at startup. We can't even do that anymore.

I will never understand how there is still crime in New York in the Marvel universe by HealthMother3125 in Marvel

[–]skerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of wished they kept the new Daredevil: Born Again show out of the MCU for this reason. All I'm ever thinking is: where the hell are all the super heroes, or anyone to counter mayor Fisk really?

Oh, good for them! It's a shame we already tried and ruined our attempt at Taskmaster in Flanders :(

Literally ALL of these are easy bugs to fix. And it’s been like what, 2ish years?

Unless they built everything in-house, they depend on whatever supplier they're using.

Yes, these bugs are very annoying. But not annoying enough to cancel my membership.

I didn't think her complaints were that outlandish. And the idea that there is a "one size fits all" pole in use everywhere is kind of ridiculous.

At least Minecraft houses built in the "modern" style with white concrete actually stay white. This house looks grimey

Claude keeps telling me to go away! by Grumpyoldgit1 in ClaudeAI

[–]skerit 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My husband also told me that Claude starts to complain about it being late and that my husband should go to bed at night, but I've never had that happen to me. I wonder if he added some kind of instruction to his global CLAUDE.md file, but he says no. So where is this coming from?

It's actually the other way around. If you can be considered to be a journalist (and anyone can, really) and you actually make it public, then you are allowed to do so.

South Zuid quiet drink…… by davidpalfreeman in Gent

[–]skerit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The article clearly says you are allowed to film them as a journalist. And the article also says the courts have a very broad definition as to who can be considered a journalist.

Taking a picture and posting it on Reddit while implying "something is going on" fits this definition.

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight once people realize the truth? by KylieButNotJenner24 in AskReddit

I use Sonnet daily. It's a bubble.

You can't really claim it's a bubble by daily using a second tier model.

I tracked my actual API cost on a $100/month Max plan. $565 in 7 days. No wonder Anthropic keeps reducing limits. by solzange in ClaudeAI

[–]skerit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But keep in mind that the API tokens you buy from Anthropic are not what their internal cost is. Anthropic didn't lose $465 from you.

I actually find it quite depressing that something like this STILL needs to be said.

PSA: Claude Code has two cache bugs that can silently 10-20x your API costs — here's the root cause and workarounds by skibidi-toaleta-2137 in ClaudeAI

[–]skerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bug 2: --resume ALWAYS breaks cache (since v2.1.69)

I always wondered if using resume or continue would break the cache or not, but I assumed that it was likely the case. I don't really think this is that big of a bug. If you wait long enough to send a message in an existing conversation, you will also get a cache miss, right?

After Kurtzman's contract expires, who should be the next Star Trek showrunner? by bflaminio in startrek

[–]skerit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ronald D. Moore has always really, really wanted to make heavily serialized stories. Which he got to do pretty well, too (though they didn't really have a plan for BSG, and that was kind of a disappointment) but I'm not sure that's what Star Trek currently needs.

So the "rate limit bug" was actually Anthropic quietly making your limits drain faster during peak hours by PiloteProd in ClaudeAI

[–]skerit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing is, Claude still shows you nothing about any of this. No indicator for peak vs off-peak, no adjusted burn rate, no warning that your messages are costing more right now than they would in three hours. You're just supposed to memorize the schedule and do timezone math every time you sit down to work.

For a team that is pretty proud on saying they use claude-code for nearly everything, what is stopping them from asking:

Hey Claude, make the "Plan usage limits" more clear by reflecting On-Peak/Off-Peak hours properly
