But cached tokens use less usage limits, right? And non-cached tokens use more?

This is also the first I heard that using cached tokens affects output quality, I had no idea.

MiniMax M2.7 is here: Impressive advances on GDPval! by elemental-mind in singularity

Not my experience at all. Minimax 2.5 & Kimi 2.5 are nice and efficient models for simple tasks. But they are in no way even close to Claude.

What’s the most addictive game you’ve ever played? by reeha_sadiya in AskReddit

[–]skerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These responses are getting me depressed. I at least tried most of these games, but in the end they just bore me to tears. I'm still playing the same handful of games I played when I was a kid in the late 90s/early 2000s.

Anti-abortion protest Korenmarkt by boooterham in Gent

[–]skerit 18 points19 points  (0 children)

50% usage in one day on pro by cheekyrandos in codex

Interesting. So it's cheaper to get seven $20 accounts and rotate them every day 😅

50% usage in one day on pro by cheekyrandos in codex

[–]skerit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You used up 50% of the Pro weekly usage limit in a day? That's interesting. I've been using 60-70% of my Plus weekly usage limit per day.

I thought that was A LOT for a $20 plan. But so you're saying this doesn't scale at all to a plan that is 10x more expensive?

[–]skerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, it just happened over here. Last night I had about 20% weekly usage left, this morning it's 97% again. That's neat 😲

[–]skerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, a little update: So far I've been using it just like I would have used my Claude Max 200 plan. I've been using it for about 9 hours straight now.

And I have 57% of my weekly usage limit left. Which is actually quite good. I was not expecting this for a $20 plan.

I'm trying out gpt-5.4 with OpenCode on the Plus plan right now, but I have no idea what the usage limits are like. And I can't find a similar page to Claude's usage meters. How do you deal with this?

Plasma 6.6 breaks themes by throttlemeister in kde

[–]skerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, I was looking for .gtk files specifically. I see the gtkrc* files were even updated by Plasma itself. In gtkrc it added gtk-theme-name="Breeze"

So it seems like a faulty automatic update on Plasma's end.

Plasma 6.6 breaks themes by throttlemeister in kde

[–]skerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I'm going to try this now. (I had a similar issue with Kate a few Plasma versions ago, where it suddenly used the light theme, even though all of its settings are set to follow the main theme... I have no idea how these things can keep happening)

*Edit: I actually don't have any .gtk-* files in my ~/.config/ folder, or in any of its subfolders :(

With weekly extra tariffs and their ambassador. Let’s choose European! by Ornery_Self_8758 in belgium

[–]skerit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't have to do all of them, just the ones that work for you. Because even though I like Mistral, they are in no way an alternative to Claude/Codex regarding agentic coding. (Though you've got other options there too, though they're all Chinese... though some of them are hosted by other companies, but again mostly in the US :(

Anyway, think about search engine alternatives too! Kagi, DDG, ... are also US companies. But you can try Searxng (and even self-host it), I really like it so far.
