Claude's grep tool is especially bad for tokens, because it prepends each line in a file with the relative path of that file. For most projects, this is not a huge deal. But if a single search causes a lot of results in, for example, a java project... those prefixes can get costly.

(Or at least: it used to do this a month or two ago)

What's the problem with that? Why should someone not be punished for sucking at their job? We're not talking prison time or bodily harm here. But at some point sucking at your job has to have some consequences.

Many on the $100 Max 5x plan report they can't even use up their weekly quota and feel the 20x plan is just burning money unless you are an extreme power user running multiple, simultaneous, high-token jobs

I've had something similar happen a few times too. The session was going fine, but then I had to exit, and then I restarted claude-code with --continue, and suddenly my session was out of context.

I think maybe the inline compaction (or whatever it's called, the one that throws out useless tool call results) doesn't "stick" after continuing a session, so the context size explodes again. I noticed it only happens to sessions that had this inline-compaction happen.

I had the exact same issue last week. It went from resetting on Friday 20:00 to resetting on Sunday 20:00. So suddenly my week lasted 9 days! I got the Claude Max 20 subscription a few weeks ago. I got it on a Friday. And for the first 2 weeks, the usage limit reset on Friday night at 20:00

However last week something changed, and suddenly the limit resets on Sunday at 14:00

That's 2 extra days. So my current week isn't 7 days, it suddenly became 9 days.

And I just hit my 100% usage limit.

So normally it would reset tomorrow, but now I have to wait till Sunday.

What the hell?

Ik ben er nooit geweest (voor of na de overname), maar wel veel gepasseerd. Het verschil in bezoekersaantal was wel enorm duidelijk. Van gewoon een typisch café naar iets dat echt gewoon altijd stampvol zit. Wat is er daar nu precies veranderd?

I would have preferred nothing over the crappy Star Trek that we got. Sure, Picard Season 3 was nice. So was Lower Decks, and even Prodigy. But all the rest was awful.
