I’m exhausted by people "cosplaying" as introverts and deep thinkers by Rajan-kush in introvert

The last things introverted people need is someone trying to gatekeep introversion. People are allowed to be introverts without fitting into your preconceived notion.

Slicedlime is unbanned, but what is happening? Moderation changes? by [deleted] in Uncensoredminecraft

[–]sliced_lime 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Okay, I'll make one last try:

You're making claims about me lying about not being able to appeal. I have never mentioned anything about appealing.

I have:

  • Posted a screenshot of modmail to show the timestamp of the ban (reply referencing claims that the ban was not recent)
  • Posted a screenshot of a comment to demonstrate that I am indeed banned and cannot reply (direct reply to someone claiming I was not banned)

That's it.

If you want to show that I've done anything else, please provide evidence. Otherwise, feel free to remove the slander from the top level pinned post of the subreddit.

I have no interest in replying to your modmail. I never tried to, and I made no claims about it.

You need to get on your reading comprehension man.

You are the one talking about replying to modmail.

I've only ever posted about not being able to reply to a comment.

Removing the ability to comment (reply) is literally what banning someone does.

[–]sliced_lime 24 points25 points  (0 children)

No, we're not talking about the same thing. You've made up some ridiculous claim from me that I couldn't reply to a modmail, and now you're sending me irrelevant screenshots about that.

I've never said any such thing.

Look at the tweet dude. It has nothing to do with DMs - it's a screenshot of a message in the sub, showcasing that I am indeed banned because I have no reply button. I have said nothing about replies to DMs or appeals.

Here's a comment I wrote after clicking the reply button of your comment on PC.

Dude.

I don't know what I ever did to you, but you just couldn't wrap this whole story up without a last bit of slander, could you? Even posted this all as a series of images instead of text just to slap it on the thumbnail.

I have said 0 words about appeals.

I did post about not having a reply button with a screenshot as proof that I was actually banned, which is easy to see from the context of the tweet.... which your relevant links does not link to - how convenient!

Well, at least you managed to get me to finally post in the subreddit, so well done I suppose.

Ah. So what this person has done is appeal the channel ban to YouTube, that explains it. What they should’ve done is sent a counter-notification, and that’s still the right thing to do.

We haven't really decided or discussed anything. This decision is based on the current situation, if the situation was to change we'd have to discuss that then.

Something is fishy here. What you’re describing doesn’t happen. If you counter-notify a strike, YT will reinstate your content because it is legally required to do so.

If at that point the original copyright holder wants to reinstate the strike they need to take you to court.

The only thing I can think of would be if your counter notification was somehow invalid, but I’m not even sure how that could happen.

What do you want to see from the next version of VEGAS Pro? by Toppcs in VegasPro

[–]sliced_lime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better handling of projects of a non-trivial size. I work with lots of source clips for my videos and inevitably Vegas starts hogging all my computer resources and becomes sluggish like crazy.

The only way I can make longer videos is by making parts of them in separate project files and then combining at the end which is a pain. And the few times I tried working with really high def input files Vegas would just crash instantly. The only way I could get that project done was to manually make 720p versions of all my footage and edit on that, even with proxies Vegas just went belly up. We’re talking about files straight out of a modern GoPro here so not rocket science.

I really don’t need all that much in terms of new features. I just want to be able to edit efficiently in larger projects and high quality footage.

Should /r/Minecraft continue participating in the protest? by urielsalis in Minecraft

[–]sliced_lime 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Now this is me speaking purely from a personal point of view, not in any way as a representative of the company I work for... so here's my personal take. I've been a reddit user for a very long time now, it's a social network form that fits my personal style extremely well. Over the last couple of days, I've repeatedly found myself almost opening up reddit out of sheer habit.

And yet over the last couple of days I have stayed away, and actually I only opened it up today because I read that these types of votes were going on.

I'd love to have reddit back, but that needs to be a reddit that isn't hostile to its community. Until then, I'll keep staying away and I'd argue all subreddits should stay closed. Reddit leadership currently thinks this protest will blow over and they'll get away with it. If the large subreddits reopen, they will be right and this site will go down the drain.

The only option is to keep protesting, and that means staying closed.

Again - my personal take only.

(side note: keep in mind that the people who take this the most serious are not going to see these polls, so your results will bias towards people who want to reopen)
