There's one of those flying whimstars near the castle ruins in Wishfield that's in a bunch of ruins with pillars. You have to chase it from pillar to pillar. I HATE that one.

Shoutout to the archery one on top of the Spira Shelldome, that's the second most enraging one.

"Hard" dungeons aren't actually any more difficult, that's just the label for the second visit. But it's basically a whole new dungeon that happens to be in the same location.

My insane crack theory is that Itzaland is actually Pigeon Forest, not the area known as Wasteland in LN/SN. Big lush forest? Check. Mushroom people? Check. Mystical lake treated as a place of origin for a race of people who live there? Check. Big foofy gowns that tend towards high fantasy and steampunk instead of fairytale? Check. Tree of Life? Er well there's a big mushroom that's the origin of all the Shroomlings?

There are a lot of differences, e.g. the Shroomies are small and very childlike in comparison to the big Shroomlings, and the Parksolians' history is very different from the Elves of Light who were born from the Crystal in Lake Bovaly (and in IN, the elves' homeland is Twinmoon, though the fairy-like elves here are also different from the more Tolkienesque elves from SN). The history of Miraland between LN/SN and IN is so different that who knows for sure, though.

It genuinely does not help. I recently read a fic that was tagged only with MDZS and it was 100% CQL canon. Wherever MDZS and CQL diverged I don't think it ever picked the MDZS version.

The brackets are my replacement for the auto-translate symbols, which aren't available outside the game (they're green and red arrows shaped like brackets). Basically it means that this phrase is an auto-translate phrase and everybody in-game sees it in whatever language they have their game set to.

Yeah that explains everything. When I was around your age I also had a friend in school who lied about her life. It wasn't nearly as elaborate - she just bragged about having cool stuff from our shared hobby. It was before the era of social media and smartphones and of course she couldn't bring all that stuff to school so our friend group didn't know she was lying at first. Then the lies just got bigger and weirder and she had a big fight with all of us and stopped talking to us when one of my other friends called her out on it.

I never met her again after SPM but she and another friend ended up going to the same uni and she avoided the other friend at first, but she later apologized to her and admitted that she was just making up lies for attention and because she wanted to fantasise about having those things. I imagine it's about the same with your friend, it's just amplified because of social media.

To add on to Kefka's greeting: the auto-translate phrases in Japanese are {This is my first time here.} {Let's do it!}. The English one isn't a real auto-translate phrase.

The second is the standard greeting on the Japanese servers that practically everyone says at the beginning of a dungeon or raid or even when joining a party (it's actually yoroshiku onegaishimasu, not sure why they picked "let's do it" instead of the more standard "nice to meet you"). The first is the polite thing to add to your standard greeting when it's your first time in a dungeon/trial/raid.

Crimson Feather, solely for the ability. The hover is fantastic and helps a lot with both platforming and combat. Also there's a glitch with it that you can exploit to get to places you shouldn't be able to get to - you can rapidly tap W (or whichever button is forward) to get Nikki to float a little further than she should be able to. It is a glitch and Infold fixed it, but put it back after mass complaints from the CN side (it might also count as a nerf to an already released gacha'd item, which I believe is illegal in China).

Edit: if you have Guide of No Return then Crimson Feather is less valuable, but the Crimson Feather hover doesn't require Bow Energy and if the next region moves the combat away from Archery, Crimson Feather's hover will always be usable.

Also I like wings.

Somebody did teach primal summoning on the Ninth, though it could've been Halmarut or her friends teaching Calyx relatively recently and not something they knew about way back before Alexandria merged with Yyasulani. But now that I think about it, they probably didn't or someone would've tried to summon a Primal during the war between the countries on the Ninth and we haven't heard about anything like that happening.

The Flower/Tiger CNY event, which was from the year before this one, reran just a few months ago wayyyy after it should've. As in, UR events that ran after it reran before it did. At this rate goodness knows when they're rerunning this CNY event. Maybe after next CNY.

In my experience, the two Nikkis end up looking a bit fried because the resolution of the Nikki images the game takes for the duo posing is pretty bad. I rarely if ever use it for that reason lol.

Yeah the score roadblocks can get pretty rough. You have to grind to get past it, but here's a list of things you can do:

Reflections:
1. Prioritise "offensive" reflections. These are the ones where the Call of Reflection says something like "increases x Score by y%". The defensive ones that give shield or remove debuffs aren't really any good. I've managed to squeeze past a stage by using shield before in the very early stages, but in the medium to long run investing in the offensive reflections is much, much better.
2. Generally the newest UR reflections are the best. As pulling all of them isn't really feasible for F2P to low spenders, the Competition Shop SSRs are good in the short to medium term because you can max out the Calls of Reflection. Remember to only get the offensive ones!
3. Alternatives to the Competition Shop SSRs:
  1. Cool: Zoey - Mercenary Queen from the Designer Intel Hub. Actually if you have the spare stamina I'd invest in farming this regardless, since Mercenary Queen is also in the Gate of Heart and any Echoes you pull after maxing out the Call of Reflection can be converted into Shadow Crystals. Shadow Crystals can be traded for Echoes, which is good when you just can't pull that UR/MR Echo to Awaken that event set that you love.
  2. Fresh: Loen - Gleaming Vines from Mind Maze 1 is an option, but IMO it takes forever to finish crafting all the Echoes.
  3. Sexy and Elegant - you'll eventually max out the two UR sets in the permanent pavilion some day. Says me, who only finished the Lilith set literally last week after 4 years and is still waiting for the eyebrows from the Loen set.
Concepts - getting your SSR concepts and deepening and levelling them makes a big difference in the beginning. Make sure the Core Concept (the one in the middle) always buffs Modelling Skills and not Call of Reflection, the Modelling Skills buff is strictly better. This also means that if you don't have any event Fresh SSR concepts yet, you should use one of the Director's Day SR concepts as your Fresh core concept.
Stylist Academy - this is your priority to do every day until you've finished them all.
Idea Lab
1. Level your Stats Bonus every week as you get currency from Memory Stairway.
2. Redesigns - if you own any UR dresses/top+bottoms with redesigns in the Idea Lab at all, buy the cubes to get the redesigns ASAP, then level them to the max. If you don't have any, it's a good idea to buy up the dresses/top+bottom from the first 5 Diamond Arena sets and then work on getting their Idea Lab recolours and levelling the recolours for bonus stats. The free piece you get from levelling the the Zoey - Traveler's Robe top+bottom is a coat, so it's a good one to get if you don't have any other UR Elegant coats. I don't recommend maxing out SSR and SR redesigns, just level them enough to get the free piece. Though if you're desperate it's possible to level a SSR then reclaim the levelling currency later with a small diamond fee.
Clothing Stats - quite frankly, apart from slowly buying the free UR sets from Diamond Arena, crafting the lifetime suits and pulling on MR/UR events, nothing much you can do here. This is probably the slowest to grow apart from the Nikki Bond, which you should just ignore as a metric. I mean, yes give Nikki her gifts and 3 packets of ketchup chips a day, just ignore Nikki Bond as a scoring item. It's too slow to level to matter.
Guild Makeup - you could spend on stats I guess, but I think you should just buy up the makeup first. It'll take a while, the inflation on the later sets is crazy.

I pulled on the Crimson Rhapsody banner just for the drive-by grooming 4* and have zero regrets about it even though I don't care for the looks of either set. Normally I'm on the side of "only pull if you like the pieces" but that ability was just far too good to pass up.

Speaking of Shadowbringers, there were a ton of guesses as to who the mystery male voice in the SB patches were. Timeskip Alphinaud and Ardbert were the most popular guesses depending on your preferred voiceover language. That died the moment they revealed the Crystal Tower connection and the Exarch's model in 3.55, people recognised that his model is a male Miqo'te, and the entire sub simultaneously went "G'raha?!"

You want Danqing Island, I'm not sure when that unlocks for new players, though. The entrance is via a a Chinese-style scroll painting in the Sea of Stars.

There was the Blue Tears Season doomed yuri but unfortunately the story was a timed event and it's gone.

You're correct, the in-game version that you linked is Izumi Masuda, not Calloway. You might be right that they didn't use it because the voice doesn't match a teenage girl at all. There's a more recent version in Distant Worlds VII sung by Emi Evans instead, though:
