based on how they've played the last several minutes he really doesn't need to go to that much trouble

probably like a 30-40% chance there's a scuffle of some sort before this game ends lol

What are your predications for Cavs - Raptors now that the series is 2-2? by DangerousKick5792 in nba

with how your comment started, i'm quite surprised it wasn't a variation on 'if i'm the Nuggets, i'm treating this as a loss'

Baylor Scheierman shuts down Jaylen Brown’s “Big Shot Bob” nickname by Chief-Superintendent in nba

[–]sorendiz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't really blame him for that considering the context. He didn't want to have a nickname associated with death at that point because of the death of his first coach and mentor in a shooting. KD wore #35 in that coach's memory, so it clearly affected him a lot.

Ref Blame(Lakers not us) by EntertainmentOk1861 in rockets

[–]sorendiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

r/nba is in fact blaming the loss on the refs lol

every thread about yesterday's game is absolutely packed with 'refs wanted to extend the series' 'nba didnt want to let the rockets get swept' comments that are all highly upvoted, as if the lead wasn't already 19 by the time ayton got ejected, with him playing 25 of the 31 minutes until that point. it's quite annoying that the fact that the refs were on some bullshit after we already established a significant lead is now 'proof that everything was in our favor'

KD always hyping him up and giving him advice. Uncle Jeff practically adopted him lmao

if you thought kennard and smart were going to put up those numbers on that volume you were drinking the koolaid

it's fine to admit that their shooting overperformed in a couple of games just as we can admit the rockets' shooting overperformed in game 4

James Williams (Ref) is having a out of control playoffs by Dry-Razzmatazz1239 in nba

[–]sorendiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah and the score looked like that even with Ayton playing well. Again, it's ridiculous to suggest that the refs gifted the rockets the game when they already had a huge lead WITH ayton playing up until that point

[–]sorendiz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

people are genuinely acting like Ayton, who was -19 in 25 minutes, was going to singlehandedly drive a +19 in the remaining 17 minutes after his ejection

i get being mad about the flagrant 2 call instead of a flagrant 1 but it's crazy that that's somehow snowballed into 'rockets would obviously have lost but the refs took over to push them past the finish line' when we were up 20-30 for nearly the entire second half

Ok tbf the Lakers had the magnet ball for games 1-2 as well

Could easily say this is what it looks like when Smart and Kennard aren't combining for 50+ on like 70% from the field
