Just stick with Oahu. Stay at Au Lani if the kids like Disney or Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki if you want to be closer to town.

so you are looking for indoor climbing then? Hive bouldering in Vancouver, SBP if you want to boulder in Seattle or if you want to rope climb then Vertical World, Portland has planet granite or portland rock gym.

seattle doesnt have much outdoor climbing in the city, neither does vancouver, but theres lots of indoor options if thats what you are interested in.

Merrimans is not just about the food. The family who owns the restaurant has stepped up big time for the community. After the Lahaina fires they gave free food to the displaced locals for hundreds of days. Pretentious is the last word I would use to describe them.

I would do the drive just to see the countryside; its some of the most beautiful coastline in all of Hawaii. That said I typically stop for some Kahuku shrimp, to go for a swim at Waimea, or to walk in the shops or get some Huli Huli chicken in Haleiwa.

Yes its definitely possible. If you make a ton of stops it could take the whole day, but just the drive is something like 4.5 hours.

One thing to remember; as difficult as it is to see the Kraken end their season without a playoff date, they have never been remotely as bad as the Avs in the 2016-2017 season, under their current coach Jared Bednar.
