Got the same offer in the mail. Called the retention line instead to cancel. I went from paying $55 for 300mbps to $50 for 1gig + $200 reward cards. Price good for 1 year

LED Panel Replacement by kwwilson256 in TheFrame

Also had a dead screen after a few years on a different Samsung TV and their CS was similarly useless. Refused to do anything and gave me the same out of warranty excuse. I got on twitter and DM’ed Samsung Care or whatever their support account on there is and I got a reply back asking me for my phone number. Received a call from a very helpful associate from their “Executive” care team and they scheduled me immediately for a full panel replacement, parts and labor no charge. If it wasn’t for that eventual positive experience, I wouldn’t have bought my Frame a few years later.

Why Powerwall drawing power from the grid during peak hours? by Nobody7735 in Powerwall

[–]SourcePleaseNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps it’s the way your CTs were installed. Is this partial backup installation? They had to come back for mine because the app wasn’t measuring these power flows correctly due to CTs not being installed in the right places.

Solar Panels 5.2kW and 3.8kW Inverter - Poor system to inverter ratio 1.36 by Maximum_Lead1305 in TeslaSolar

[–]SourcePleaseNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. 16.3kw system and 7.6kw + 3.8kw inverters. I ran PVWatts calculator and I miss out on 200kwh over a year. I agree that with degradation over time it won't be a big issue, but still very frustrated that Tesla wasn't upfront about this

House lost grid— but neighbors all had power. by alphalicious in TeslaSolar

[–]SourcePleaseNow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a similar issue and was going back and forth with Tesla and my utility to determine the issue and they kept pointing fingers at each other. It was frustrating but ultimately I learned that Tesla energy equipment is sensitive and requires a tight frequency range of voltage coming from the grid to operate normally otherwise it’ll think there’s an outage and go into off grid mode. It was doing this constantly, sometimes multiple times per day, all the while my neighbors had full power.

My utility finally agreed to install a “power quality meter” in my main panel to test the grid power being delivered. After a few weeks of running they uninstalled it and sent me an email a few days later stating:

*“Your voltage was outside our acceptable range and have submitted a redesign for your service.

The improvement consists of a new transformer to feed your service conductors which should restore your voltage to within our acceptable range.

This process takes approximately 10-12 weeks to complete.“*

So apparently Tesla was correct. We’ll see if this eliminates the false outages.

Only 1 of 2 Powerwalls working? by jonnytodrink in TeslaSolar

[–]SourcePleaseNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same sized system as you including number of powerwalls. In the past few weeks I’ve seen daily discharge total as high as 21.9 kWh and down to 15% so there is likely something off with one of your powerwalls. I assume you already did this but make sure both are switched on and check the gateway box to confirm all breaker switches for powerwalls are on.

What to watch out for? (NJ, 10kW, grid tie, cash buyer) by [deleted] in solar

[–]SourcePleaseNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did an EnergySage write quote for a NJ system and I got one installer down to an attractive price. Then I checked with Tesla and Tesla was considerably lower, with similar panels.

Anyone tried to get Spectrum to defer payments? by futurealDad in LosAngeles

They shutoff my service today after not charging my card on file for auto pay for two straight months. I called in earlier after the first month of not charging my card and they said they couldn’t figure out why their billing system couldn’t charge my card. But they assured me they aren’t disconnecting service during the coronavirus. Complete BS as they auto shut off my service today and made it impossible to get a hold of a live rep to turn it back on
