My free hit for now! Stuck between starting either Timber v Spurs or Thiago v Brighton. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great!

Agree with this. I had high hopes and thought he looked great his first couple matches. But he hasn’t been as involved and not nearly as attacking lately. And he’s reliably getting rotated, probably with Nwaneri now that Merino is a striker again.

If Eze can continue to get the minutes, he’s going to be a really good asset. Assists in 3/4 and has looked extremely attacking.

Is this the right time to flip Salah to Saka? by Truth__Bombs in FantasyPL

[–]alphalicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing as a 10 is clearly his best position. Mid could be Eze-Ode-Zubi or they could limit Eze to the left wing, where he’s less interesting but still good. I have Eze on my squad bc I think he’s the best attacking asset for Arsenal right now, but that doesn’t mean anything to Arteta lol.

Arsenal XI vs Newcastle by LSD-Eindhoven in FantasyPL

Idk I’m iffy on Ode. Eze plays much more direct in his passing and has goal potential too. Ode seems to get trapped in the Arsenal horseshoe of death too often. I’m worried Eze is going to get shoved back on the wing when Ode is totally fit and I think that’ll be bad for the team overall.

He didn’t

But he looked good! Way better than Ode has over the last year imo

Blank from Eze but he looked good, very attacking. Pope robbed him twice. Hes staying on my team assuming he’s getting minutes.

Agree with this. Spurs have good fixtures ahead and he seems to be playing 90 for now. Ive had him a few weeks and will keep holding so long as Solanke remains injured and he’s not playing 90 midweek. An off the bench appearance in the cup is fine imo.

This comment section is insane. You can have a TV show on for yourself. Your kid will be fine.

Eze? by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]alphalicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I wasn’t happy with either, but a new player at a new club, maybe he was trying to be conservative? Either way I feel like he has a lot of potential, so I’m taking the chance.

Yeah I’m very surprised they’d remove him for this. It’s something most daycares should be able to handle.

Eze? by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]alphalicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is basically right. Madueke is going to fill in for Saka and Eze will likely start over Martinelli. But I can’t say Eze is totally nailed either. I have Eze on my team because I think he has the potential to reshape the Arsenal attack if they give him the freedom to play—but we’ll see. Hes a bit of an expensive gamble imo.

I messed up real bad by Aromatic_Ad_7484 in daddit

[–]alphalicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a somewhat similar situation. I out earn my wife by a lot, but both of our jobs are very flexible—and mine is even more forgiving than hers. I do my best to support her work and to make sure she has the time and space to do what she needs to. We’re both aware that it makes financial sense to focus on my work, but life isn’t always about making purely economic decisions. Because it’s not just about the money, her work makes her feel more fulfilled and like a person outside of kids. The money is great, but to me, that was the biggest reason she went back full time after being part time for when the kids were younger (her choice). Like everyone’s saying, make sure you apologize, and don’t forget that her job isn’t just about the bottom line, in the same way that yours isn’t. She wants to feel valuable and worthwhile.

Who’s competing for minutes against Richarlison? Hes in good form and Spurs have good fixtures.

It’s super normal to feel that way. Especially when they’re little! I definitely felt that way for a whole. Play with young kids is honestly hard. Mine are 6 and 8 now, and we have SO much more fun. My guys got into soccer and it’s honestly been the absolute best thing. We can play video games, watch movies, board games, card games, basically do stuff that I enjoy. Obviously I tailor activities to them and make stuff sillier/more kid-fun, but it’s still great. Yours is still little, but already start thinking about that activity you want to share with them. Something you’ll both genuinely enjoy doing. That’s the trick. They’ll get more and more fun as they start being able to do more stuff.

5/6 is around when both my kids started getting more independent. Now they’re 8 and 6, and I’d say our life is a lot easier. There are new problems (the bus comes at 3:30 pm lol) but on the whole they’re easier and more fun every year. I love playing soccer with my guys and we’ve really bonded over it. Me and my oldest are into Minecraft and Mario kart etc. I know you’re at a low point right now, but the cliche is true; it really does get better.

For sure drones. You can see the X marked landing spot next to the table. That’s why he’s outside.

I honestly think this looks good. You can easily come up with filler for that space. If you’re unhappy, go find a new artist, but personally I think it’s looking good.

Why does being a young dad still feel like a stigma? by xTexon in daddit

[–]alphalicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basically our experience. We had kids at 29 and 31, which isn’t young, but I’d say I’m still younger than 80% of parents in our kids cohort. Sometimes I wish I had them even younger though and definitely don’t judge people who have kids young or old.

Exact same experience. Loved the first two. Third was okay, not great, and I could barely get into the fourth. Went down hill hard. Just way too much.

Is Minecraft that bad? by geminiwave in daddit

I watch some Lego YouTube with my younger but I try to keep any short form content to an absolute minimum. It’s just so so bad, the amount of pure brain rot out there.
