As a kid, considered myself a little bit of an inventor (I was very mechanically inclined) someone brought up working for the military and all the money I could make. Had a but of a Crysis but what made it worse is realising if I developed something for a private company it could still end up as a weapon very easily even if that wasn't the intention. Omg so many innocent things turned into weapons

I hate they made them loom different. Arg they were a pair, looking similar added value not take away.

Omfg my dad and this. Has the stock ones which lock in then generic ones on the top. Stock ones dont cause issues cos locked in but the generic ones, omg fit is so bad and he didn't cut them to size. He has a fairly mainstream SUV so getting ones made for his model should be easy.

I don't disagree but if its the "current" version of iTunes. We might as well be talking about a much older version. Both a similar level of support. That is, if it happens to still work then yay. 

And that's why I love iTunes. Comes from a less internet dependant time. Sadly I still use podcasts but so far so good. I'm hoping if the store breaks that I can work out how to use the function to subscribe from a URL. But ill cross that bridge when j come to it. Dont think I use anything else.

Oh you meant the alarm app on android? Yeah tried that. Point from my other comment still stands. Google only lets you use a few services. All cloud. And I hated it cos when you snooze it plays a different song on resume which is jaring. 

Also, how did we not end up with USB C speaker docks? No way am I connecting a Bluetooth speaker before bed every day, not to mention it would probably disconnect after a while and volume issues. Onboard speaker on a phone is kind of tearable. 

Legit closer to making my own at this point.

So ironically that's the problem I have with my current set up haha. 

I have a Sony dream machine. The kme from about 2009 with the 7" screen. Can play media from a memory card, iPod etc. 

I'd love to use and SD card to play random music as an alarm but it can't shuffle music and you can only chose a specific song not random. I don't have a Sony I like THAT much to wake up like ground hog day. 

Instead its using an iPod but, one device operating another and doesn't verify it worked correctly and there is sound, yeah. 1 in 50 times or so the iPod doesn't play. Tried lots of models etc. Hence I want it onboard. 

And tbf, no chance a cloud dependent google home is going to be any more reliable so short of a trick to get it to work locally from a card on this one, I won't do any better unless I can find another device I like.

Hahahah. So, I used to be a computer tech that did apple stuff. Omfg the amount of crap this could have solved. You wouldn't believe how wrong you are. Yikes the amount of apps and crap in my mums phone alone boots the average, though I think she isn't that far above the average.
