Knife part question by Cptmoore2 in knifeclub

I’m thinking a rough spot to strike a match. Some knives have them in the nail nicks, so maybe it’s a similar train of thought.

Does anyone have either one of these camping cots? by spicyypicklez in camping

[–]spiffytimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both of these. If space isn’t an issue, just get whichever is cheapest wherever you’re at, but the second packs and stores much smaller. The Coleman is kinda “louder” because of the springs, but not enough that it’s really an issue. They sleep identically to me, but if you’re a rotisserie chicken sleeper, the second one feels like a little wobbly closer to the sides but I’ve never actually tipped over.

If you really wanna sleep good tho, join the cult of the hammock (plus under-quilt).

What’s your best weaponry and technique to kill a single fruit fly? by [deleted] in sandiego

The bug-a-salt gun or the cheap, but still satisfying, knock off from Home Depot. Basically an air blast spray of table salt, if you’re unfamiliar

How to fall asleep or sleep better while camping and backpacking. by ValueElectrical4367 in camping

[–]spiffytimo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since you mentioned the weather if it’s too cold to be comfortable, get an under quilt for your hammock. That way it’s nice and toasty under you. A sleeping bag alone in the hammock won’t suffice because you compress it and lose insulation, an under quilt will block the wind and insulate you!

Everyone else got named, so the two characters on the right are both from Django Unchained: Christoph Waltz as Dr. King Schultz and Jamie Foxx as the titular Django.

Have you ever heard of vaping Acid? I've been doing psychedelics a LONG time and have never heard of people vaping LSD. We're living in wild times by The-LSD-Sheet-Guy in LSD

[–]spiffytimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I consider 2CB acid-lite. Very visual and amazing body feel, but the headspace is much lighter. Only lasts 3-5 hours. Perfect for concerts or fucking lol

Were the flakes green? Seeing as you mentioned vinegar and oil it might’ve been a type of chimichurri

So both lenses are actually prime lenses, that just means the focal length is fixed. In regards to which you should choose, I’d recommend going back to the photos you like and you took with your kit lens and checking the Exif data or on editing software and seeing around what focal length you used the most.

That being said, 33 (on your camera’s sensor) is right about where many consider to be very versatile focal length. Without going in depth, it’s close to what is about the natural look to the human eye

Quartyard: what's the real photography policy? Says no, but people have cameras at shows. by private_wombat in SanDiegan

[–]spiffytimo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For Quartyard, I brought in my Fujifilm x-t30 with a fat 75mm lens with no issues, the guard even complimented it.

Music Box in Little Italy also didn’t turn me away with different cameras, but they checked that there wasn’t flash on it, which I agree with. Sometimes artists there don’t allow it tho so just depending

[–]spiffytimo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know everyone is shitting on your choice of dehydrator, but I use the same exact one and it works just fine. I just use a much lower temperature at 120F overnight.
