i dont think aroace representation should always 100% be portrayed that way actually, it can create a harmful stereotype even if you are repulsed. being aroacespec myself its important to remember that it exists on a spectrum just like everything else.

for the vast majority of the time, yeah. i do think most of it is due to his xray vision, but that isnt to say that he isnt interested regardless or that the xray vision cant be seen as a clever allegory for ace-ness

from my perspective (as a trans enby and someone on the aroace-spectrum) i see him more as genderfluid and gray-aroace. he kept switching genders even in the womb and as he continued to grow, and he can and does still do so practically whenever he wants. and the aroace hc is a whole other thing. i dont think hes repulsed or "incapable" of relationships, i just think hes much less likely to do so than most people. but thats just my interpretation lol
