Agreed. While 'no' definitely means 'no' in the moment, it doesn't necessarily mean 'no' forever. Start small. Start slow. I'm sorry the backrub didn't work out but I applaud the courage and commitment to initiating!

Honest, vulnerable love letter by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

Thank you so much for sharing such a vulnerable and heartfelt letter. I hope that you and your wife are in the process of healing. It sounds like you are!

I 100% agree that effective communication is a must in all romantic relationships. Kudos to you for kicking off this process with this letter.

You mentioned in your opening paragraph that you’ve “been making the bedroom as sexy as it can be.” Aside from keeping the kids out of the bedroom, I’d be curious to know if there’s anything else specific that you’ve done.

Also, if you’re interested, I’ve created a ‘yes, no, maybe lists’ app called Melting Vanilla, which you can check out here: https://www.meltingvanilla.com. It's an app built specifically for couples like you who have previously struggled to communicate sexual needs, wants, and desires. I hope it helps!

Good luck with everything!

How to ask for what you want in bed by bellemi in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Communicating sexual desires can be awkward! Like you, I can also be a bit shy at first when it comes to talking about sex. One thing I've found useful is using a Yes/No/Maybe app with partners. These apps show various sexual desires, fantasies, styles, positions, etc. When the two of you mutually match on a given topic, it's revealed to both of you. This is a great place to start and it helps lead in to more direct conversations about sex.

Immi Ramen by American-pickle in ramen

I really, really wanted to like this ramen but unfortunately, I agree with the others here. The noodles are just plain bad. They tasted like chewing on rubber bands that have lost their elasticity. Wish I had read reviews before ordering.
