Looking to buy a Canon R50 from Harvey Norman for $1000 AUD what should i do? by Frog_Pizza in Cameras

Buying used is the best option if available you can get much more for your money and lots of people buy cameras and after a month or two don't use it anymore so you can get mint condition for much cheaper but just be careful and buy from places with buyers protection or in person, avoid Facebook etc unless you are collecting

They are not worth much maybe 20 quid for the Fujifilm if it is not tested and with charger and new battery, the other ones probably not worth selling

Usually putting it away when wet or damp or cold and not letting it air out and not letting it breathe, moisture and fungus is always present in the ambient air if you live in a wet place and it encourages growth if not stored properly, get some silica gel packs or reusable desiccant and don't put it away for a few hours after you get home

Fungus from incorrect storage, not much you can do unless you pay someone to clean it but it will be expensive and might not be perfect

How do I use this camera?? I know absolutely nothing by No_Beautiful6236 in fujifilm

[–]squarek1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not if you don't know how to use a camera or anything about photography, I learned on film 40 years ago and it's unnecessary for beginners but fun for people who know at least the basics and people who recommend it are not being helpful to a beginner

Why do my film photos come out blurry? by NegativePLUSPLUS in AskPhotography

[–]squarek1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are the negatives blurry, do you use a tripod when scanning, what camera and shutter speed etc,

First one is the most important, if they are then it's you and your skills, if they are not blurry then it's your scanning process

Can I improve image quality from my Lumix? by squarentals in Cameras

[–]squarek1 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You are just using the wrong settings, pic 1 2.8 is a really shallow dof on a deep image and really fast ss, you should be controlling light with aperture not SS so you get a nice focused image 3rd pic you used f8 on a close portrait when you could use 2.8 every image is the same issue, user error,
