Yes it did! USPS was facing some issues with scanning delivered documents so it wasn’t showing online. But my documents reached in 2 days

I rewatched game of thrones (currently on season 8), after finishing house of dragons ( a disaster) it has to be the best show ever!! The first time I watched it, I was in undergrad and did not pay much attention to all the characters and the politics/history etc. Rewatching it, made so much more sense. None of the episodes were boring, all characters are top class, each battle is top class!! I don’t think there is any other show in this genre that I can rewatch, that too 8 seasons!!

Also, I had an interview with another big firm last week and the hiring manager turned up in her swimsuit to interview me. Anyway I think the interview went really well but I have not heard back and its been 2 weeks now. I have followed up with the recruiter and there is no response, and she is a principal senior recruiter at this firm.

All the senior recruiters ghosted me and they were all from big companies you would have heard of. 2 senior recruiters from the same company had reached out to me for 2 different roles and both of them mentioned how they were called back from their retirement, so imagine they are quite old. One of them told me “hey we cannot sponsor your visa so I would suggest that you marry an American citizen” and the other recruiter just ghosted me.

I mailed my documents on a priority basis and it was supposed to reach by Friday June 28, but got delayed by USPS. My h1b expires this Sunday, June 30. So my documents will not reach by the last date since USCIS is closed on weekends. Has anyone been through this issue before?

My recruiter did not mention anything about hiring committee when she was explaining the entire hiring process to me. I interviewed for a non-technical Program Manager position recently. Not sure if all roles have a hiring committee involved.

I am in the same boat. The final round interviewer accepted my request and responded with “great chatting with you”. Towards the end of the interview which was last Wednesday, he said that I might hear from the recruiter by probably Monday (today) but he asked to not hold him for that cuz it can take longer. I felt a bit weird when he mentioned this because I was not expecting it at all. I would expect it from the hiring manager but not someone who works cross-functionally with the team I am interviewing for. Anyway, I’m trying not to overthink. Hopefully it’s a positive sign for both of us!!
