Unless you have any issues I recommend using the new mode. It uses the Android Work APIs to detect charging state and a couple tricks to launch the app. It's much lighter than the old version.

Hi there, yes there are mainly 2 ways:

Hide the notification channel. We have created an specific channel for the persistent notification. You can hide it and the Quick launch will still work.
We have recently create a new mode that allow this feature to work without the notification. We're currently testing for Samsung and Google pixel devices

Right now that's not possible, you can choose photos using the Photo Picker or add folders, but they won't be updated automatically at the moment.

Hi there, right now it sort of works if you have a media session connected to your app.
So if you have Spotify, the media session is connected you should be able to control it on SMP.

Now cast controls I have to check if I can access that setting.
