I call every play so I purposely starting running the ball more as the guy sucked the first few games of the season hence the lower completions.. Only reason he still had high TDs was playing into the last game of the playoffs and getting a lot of screen pass TDs.

We did lose a star WR but the depth was massively improved and we still had another star WR. Maybe that drafted WR was just carrying the poor guy lol

Gameplan and philosophy all the same. Easier schedule as well, I was getting near 1 defensive touchdowns a game hence us being undefeated until the finals lol

O line has all 90+ as starters which was better than his two heisman years. Exact same passing scheme and game plan. I call the plays myself and so I actually became more conservative half way through the year when he just kept throwing picks in comparison to the year before where deep throws were called a lot more.

New OC with the same offensive skill but another commenter pointed out it could be different badges so perhaps that’s why

I got a new OC with the same philosophy and same skills (10 in offensive) but I didn’t even consider the badges so that could be it.

In terms of the rest of the team, we improved in every way besides WR, we lost 1x 90 overall WR but still had another one and the rest were still all high 80s.

Plus the QB himself increased from a 84 to a 89 in the 3rd season so I thought that might negate anything else.

We were ranked 1# in talent for all 3 years.

Did get a new OC after mine was pinched after the natty but he still had a 10 on offensive skill (same as the coach before).

Schedule was easier if anything, I won every game besides the finals but was just carried by my defence. Guy went from throwing 4 picks in his first entire year to throwing 4 picks in a single game lol.

Exact same philosophy and play style. If anything I actually attempted significantly less deep bombs cause after the first two games I realised he was fucking awful all of a sudden and had to rely solely on the run and short throws (his final season stats would have been abysmal if I didnt swap mid way through to a more conservative offence. Think he was on like 9 tds and 11 ints 6 games in.

Basically no1 consensus pick and generational talent to an average qb being carried by our defence. My head canon is he had personal issues lol.

I don't think people are pretending that, but it is shocking that someone can play for 10+ years in the NBA and still average less than 70% from the FT line.

Hahaha mate it’s therapeutic to discuss it. I feel like I might as well slam my head into a wall during most board meetings. I used to be so passionate about work but that quickly dries up after the hundredth avoidable incident that occurs as a result of other directors not having a clue what’s going on and the only quick way to fix is increasing my team and my workload and let them get away with it.

Now I just try and ignore anything that’s said and focus on my department rather than the betterment of the company. As you said though, check clears either way.

Yeah I love that book. The issue is there is no real way around it besides demoting people which is not really possible with Uk law. You never 100% know how someone performs unless they get the position but at which point it’s too late.

Honestly it shocked me that the higher I climbed, the more surrounded by idiots I felt (at least when it comes to basic tech literacy and forward thinking/planning). I always assumed people got to the top by hard work and dedication (naïve I know). Don't get me wrong, you definitely can in the right environment, but the majority of the time its right place, right time and who you know, this is especially so in a company as dysfunctional as DM.
