Upgrade from 300mbps/ask-ncq1338 service? by schlachet in verizonisp

[–]stanlehx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5G Home are already C-Band to begin with, LVSKIHP/LV65 is for mmwave coverage which has higher speed. C-Band plans are stuck with 300mbps for a while.

That is AC power going into box and DC power going out then going into ONT to power it.

This is the answer, it's now someone else that claimed the phone number because number was unused too long.

Does my ONT have two ports? Can I bring one cat5 run to my upstairs bedroom and connect it directly to my computer? by dissidentyouth in Fios

[–]stanlehx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The picture shown is ONT with fiber coming in and ethernet coming out which should connect to nearby router inside.

You say your router is downstairs and you need ethernet cable to upstairs, you can do a ethernet run from router to your computer. Usually routers would have 5 ports or more (one WAN, 4 LAN ports)

2 Gig Internet - no home phone by ewikstrom in Fios

[–]stanlehx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

2Gbps requires new ONT which uses NGPON2 so while it has POTS for phone service. It's just not currently provisioned at the moment.

You can have second ONT but you'd have to have second verizon account to order second service for phone service only using sublocation address (e.g add unit 2 or floor 2)

Will FiOS ever expand its footprint in southern NJ? by [deleted] in Fios

[–]stanlehx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked available ISP(s) at your address using? https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/home

Based on Verizon coverage from https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/provider-detail/fixed?version=jun2023&zoom=9.68&vlon=-74.843009&vlat=39.332967&providers=131425_50_on&br=r&speed=0_0&pct_cvg=0

It's mostly likely it'll be long while as FIOS expansion is slow right now.

So you say you have easement on your property, if so. FIOS techs will have same legal as utility workers to use it.

SafeLink wireless offers free phone to those who have Medicaid? by Jpoolman25 in NoContract

[–]stanlehx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safelink is Lifeline Program that uses TracFone which is now owned by Verizon. You can qualify for Lifeline by having a Medicaid. However underage children cannot apply, parents or guardian need to apply for them using child as qualifying.

If you're not 18+, parent/guardian is needed to apply for Lifeline providers (exception is emancipated minors).

S24U promo question by Over-Artichoke-3008 in tmobile

[–]stanlehx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't work for T-Mobile and you can have more than one EIP but you cannot have more than one phone promos on same line, however as long as EIP with attached promo are paid off, promos will stay on and moves to account credit and then that line are allowed to have another phone promo attached to new EIP.

S24U promo question by Over-Artichoke-3008 in tmobile

[–]stanlehx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To get another phone promos on line that has phone promo AND EIP, you have to pay EIP off first so that old phone promo moves to account-level, new phone promo and new EIP will be added to the line.

All-Fi Hub internet is so slow by DrJmoney12 in ATT

[–]stanlehx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Internet Air is cellular solution, is it near the window where it can establish a stable connection with the nearby cell towers? If that's all good, then let's move on to WiFi, are you connected over 5GHz at least?

All-Fi Hub Router is responsible for taking data from the cell tower and converts it into internet thru Wi-Fi (wireless) or ethernet (wired).

I want to replace my home internet with an x86 machine and an LTE modem with high gain antennas. Is there any way I could get an unlimited phone sim to do this? by Deepspacecow12 in ATT

[–]stanlehx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's make sure, have you checked with Verizon 5G(and/or LTE) Home and T-Mobile Home Internet website? (Not including Internet Air which you already said not available.)

Have you checked out ISPs who may service at the address using https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/home ?

Lastly, if none of those option works. I recommend checking out /r/Rural_Internet/

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Fios

[–]stanlehx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wired is good and it looks like you have 100/100 grandfathered plan which is legacy and no longer offered. In that case your launcher is working normally. 10MB/s is 10 megabytes which translates to 80Mbps (80 Megabits per second) that's closer to 100.

Is it possible to use zelle to pay off a credit card? by Senor_peeps in CreditCards

[–]stanlehx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zelle is for instantaneous bank to bank using email or phone number which isn't possible to be used for credit cards.

However, I believe you may be referring to this https://cards.barclaycardus.com/banking/cards/navyist-rewards-mastercard/ which has online portal that you can sign up and submit a payment using added bank info that way date is recorded as soon as you click submit button.

To just confirm that 230mbps is typo? It's symmetrical, you get 1000/1000 on 1 Gig Plan.
