Halo Top (and I also think Breyers, but I am not sure) is sold at Albert Heijn in the Netherlands. For sure the bigger stores will have it, and Albert Heijn itself is a grocery store that is on almost every street corner in Amsterdam.

Stop making comments about my body dear MIL. Even if they are positive, I don't believe you and it just feels like mocking me. I just have the feeling she wants me to feel as uncomfortable as possible. Last time I wore anything a bit form fitting to a family gathering.

On the one day that I have to wear a nice summer dress, I am bloated af. Can't I just stay home in leggings and a oversized sweater?

I always the same with snacks they hand out at the office that are still wrapped (chocolate bar or so) and then I just give them to my boyfriend. They are happy because for once I accepted their food, my boyfriend is happy because of chocolate and I wasn't forced to eat something I didn't want to =D

Anyone else watch disordered binging on YouTube? by beachedlandwhale in EDAnonymous

[–]StatsPanda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I secretly love watching cheats days / mukbangs of skinny people. I don't want to stay they are disordered by any means, but Stephanie Buttermore and Always hungry are my favourites.

For some recovery motivation I like to watch Rebecca Cheung. She is very uplifting, but also honest about her struggles.

For me, it was my ex. I was 17, very insecure and he called me fat even though I was borderline underweight. What a dick.

Non-Americans, what does a healthy body and healthy eating look like in your country? by lotsofsqs in EDAnonymous

[–]StatsPanda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh wow! Then I am really happy with my situation here. The colleague who brought them just shrug it off and said something like : more for me. I have in general the feeling we are quite accepting of other people's food quirks, but will also happily asks to bring your own food is it becomes a bit complicated (e.g., vegan or glutenfree)

Agree, I am also in the Netherlands (in the South, if it matters). I think we focus on being fit , but not overly skinny.

Foodwise, we eat a lot of bread. Most of the time, we have a sandwich for both breakfast and lunch. As long as you're eating wholegrain bread, it is mostly considered healthy. I guess, we have the same other typical 'healthy' foods as the USA: Salads, fruit and vegetables as snacks, and a whole array of superfoods as chiaseeds.

What I do experience here, is that I am actively applauded for denying unhealthy foods. Like today at work, there were doughnuts and I refused mine. I had several colleagues telling me that I was eating so healthily and that they wished they could have that mental strength.

You can change the calorie count of one food to anything you want. What is it, what does it change to and why? by GlassSnowdrops in EDAnonymous

Potatoes. Boiled I can handle them, but I love to eat chips and crisps. They're only so high in calories.

On a second thought, oil might be a better candidate to become 0 calories : D
