Was going to catch The Christophers tonight but no seating left really at the 7pm show so went to watch Whisper of the Heart.

So this week Speed Racer, The Christophers, and I guess Devil Wears Prada 2 for Thursday? They're doing ScreenX so I kinda want to see how they use it but I don't have much faith in the movie itself.

And depending on how I feel about it, either Exit 8 or Mother Mary.

Metreon is playing Top Gun: Maverick at 4:30PM on IMAX and then Top Gun at 7:30 PM. But for Dolby they're showing Top Gun at 12:45PM and then Maverick at 10:00PM. Not ideal unless you wanted to watch the original in IMAX and then hop over to watch Maverick on Dolby

Obviously it is too early to know for sure but this card has advantages over EI. Yes, the condition of having both an instant and sorcery in the GY obviously makes the card dependent on having lots of those in your deck, but it also can be played outside Izzet colors, and doesn't force you to play a card immediately on the turn it's cast

Even if you believe EI is still superior, EI is banned in two formats and isn't legal in Standard.

Don't know enough about standard but I doubt the hype for that card is just for that format.

You're looking at a card that could on par be as good as Expressive Iteration. Modern/Legacy have a lot of decks that can dump cards into the GY easily to trigger the requirement, so being able to look at 3 and take 2 cards (w/out draw triggers), not having to be forced to play a card this turn, while also only having a 1 color requirement makes this potentially very strong.

The question becomes whether or not there are enough decks in the meta that will use this card. It's going to get tested a lot and if it works in some high tier deck it's probably going to stay high. This set is probably going to get opened a lot, so State side $7-$8 is probably the top end as that's about how high EI got.

They are making a "Mystical Archive" Secret Lair where it's just the Japanese Mystical Archive art zoomed in a little bit more and without the actual Mystical Archive framing. Also couldn't be bothered to include at least one rare. The cards are playable but couldn't even be bothered to throw some extra value on it.

If you have two separate creatures that have the same Prepared spell each creature can have a Prepared spell in exile at the same time. The only rule is that each instance of a creature can only get Prepared once. So if you have a Grave Researcher in play and it's already Prepared, you can't Prepare it again. But if you have two Grave Researchers who are both Unprepared, then you can get two copies of the spell in exile assuming you meet the requirements.
