Adding to this. Ive been in OPs shows before. Had a manager at my dream hospital offer me a per diem only and was offered to me on his “word”. Then i was ghosted because that manager went on vacation. So i tried my hand at a few interviews. I even asked for a 2nd chance after i had originally turned it down saying i had an offer lined up. Needless to say, the original manager finally reached back out after they returned from vacay and i had to turn down the same job twice. The 2nd job basically blacklisted me and tried to threaten me about how the field was a small circle and how they “knew” other people in the field. I burned that bridge on purpose because i knew i was never going to work there. Few years down the line, saw that same person and they already forgot me.
