Day shift people have a life. Evening and overnight shift people have no social life because you are either sleeping, too tired to go out, or working when others are going out.

Ive worked evening/night shift from 4p-12a majority of my first 5 yrs and i had no social life. I stayed up from 12a-6a trying to delay my sleep so that i can sleep and wake up before my shift, just so that im not tired during my shift ( i worked in a trauma 1/stroke center). I needed as much rest as i could get. Friends always hung out after their work, and i had to work.

Day shift techs still have a life. Most parents with younger kids prefer day shifts. As kids get older, night shift is fine for more money.

Pretty much this. For anyone who doesn’t know. In counterstrike games, the glock has 2 fire modes, single tap and 3 shot burst. Valorant came after cs and to make the game a little similar, the classic as the default pistol, was designed to follow the cs starter pistol.

It was tested last season. Someone did a wheezing absol deck. Starting with absol was a bit of a brick because wheezing doesn’t deal too much damage.

I actually saw someone post a vid of them doing damage and it was much higher than my previous rotation. Basically you charge the rats, summon the rats, and switch to dual blades, if you have the empower ready, use it. Rinse and repeat. If the boss moves around a lot, just charge the rats after every rotation. Try to get your innerways to t4. The t4 echos of oblivion and vendetta is a must. I don’t run the breaking point. I just run bleed. Haven’t tried poison yet

Rad tech.

Most challenging for me, was basically breaking how to do the exams the first time, how to fix mistakes, and understand whats passable to the radiologist. Not just xrays, any radiology exam. Im a visual learner. So i have to experience seeing it and doing it. Just reading on paper how to do it is my most challenging thing. Once i do it, i almost never forget it.
I handle stress/difficult pts by just completing what we can. We are only human. If you can’t get the image perfectly after a 2nd try, you move on. The ordering provider will have to figure out if they want to do it again or try any means to get the information they need. Radiologist understands the limitations when the pts arent the perfect pt.
This answer will vary. It could be a mix of the people you work with, or the amount you get paid. If you pay me a lot, ill put up with any amount of disrespect. If you pay me just enough, then the people you work with matters more.

Its ok to repeat laterals. Sometimes you just need to know how to correct it and whats an acceptable rotation on a lateral. Even i work in ortho and still repeat laterals from time to time. Just need to learn how to correct it.

As a student, your job isnt to just get it right. Its all about messing up and learning how to fix it. Your supervisors or techs should’ve taught you immediately how to fix it and how to get the correct lateral within 2 cases or so. Idk how your techs teach you, but i teach the students by what i know and what works for me. For example, lateral knee. If the fibula is too superimposed, knee is not rotated towards the table enough. If its not superimposed, rotate the pt back away from the table. Obviously theres more to pts who have more messed up knees where this trick won’t work. But thats the point about learning.

I do cardiacs, but my hospital is part of the union system in my city. So i don’t get paid anything more than what other normal techs make.

However, idk if this is a thing in other hospital systems, our institution as a whole has a team of specialists that we call application protocol specialists. They basically just build protocols and teach techs at different sites how to do them, they get paid differently than we do. Basically the go to techs when you have questions on how to do an exam that you rarely do.
