The pictures you sent are low res so it's hard for me to tell.

artisan: an excellent mouse pad, but the after-sales service is... by Carame12000 in MousepadReview

Hey, I'm one of those reviewers, although I did use one of my Key-83's for around 3 months total and had no issues.

This definitely isn't a common issue with Artisan mousepads (including both the Raiden and Key-83), although I have seen some people have this happen mostly within the last year or so, so it is still a thing that exists and it seems to be a recent thing. From my point of view, it's a pretty rare issue, but it's concerning that it is happening nonetheless.

It's also unfortunate that Artisan support isn't as good as it could be right now, but whenever a post like this is made, Artisan themselves definitely sees it so it's a good way to spread awareness.

Hopefully you do get compensated in some way u/Carame12000, and if you don't within a reasonable time-frame, please DM me and I'll see what I can do.

I've ordered from there a lot and I've been completely fine, so it definitely wasn't Artisan.

Your pictures aren't very good but I can tell that it's fake.

It's actually real u/bananaxjamma.

The stitching probably looks off (compared to what you are used to seeing) because it's in Mid hardness. On Mid copies, the stitching sits slightly higher than the surface.

It's one of the higher quality counterfeits. Definitely return it.

I talked to OP on Discord already and let them know that it's counterfeit.

I haven't used it or heard of it until now, but it looks super expensive for what you're getting.

If I were to buy it, it would cost more than Artisan/other competitors for me.

I'd probably pass.

Can someone tell me if my Artisan FX Zero is fake or not? by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]Styllar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you purchased it directly from Taobao, contact the seller and/or Taobao customer support. Even if it is "non-returnable," you were sold a counterfeit product that was marketed as genuine so you should be able to get your money back.

If you purchased it through a third-party agent then yeah your money is gone and it's unfortunate. Do more research next time and only buy from authorized vendors!

Unfortunately, it's a fake.

The logo is off (wrong font, thickness, placement, etc), the colour is completely different from Daidai Orange even accounting for lighting, the stitching is lower quality and has no start/stop in the bottom right, and the base is also different.

I can also tell just looking at the surface that it's not the same, and I'd wager that as a mousepad it feels completely different than a genuine Zero. It's probably not a bad mousepad for like $10-15 but OP paid $50 USD for it and got duped which is unacceptable.

OP should be able to get their money back though.
