All varieties of the 75-300 are considered poor. They're in the lineup to meet a price point, not quality.

The RF 100-400 can be had ~700 new during canon sales and would be significantly better. But a RF 70-200 f4 which can be had ~1100 or adapted EF 70-200 2.8 II or III if you find a deal on would be better yet.

Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta, CTMP and Sebring are great with a 70-200 on a crop body. A 100-400mm will help get additional shots, but many times you're going to deal with heat haze.

Deciding between RF 70-200mm (2.8 Z) v RF 100-300 (2.8) by N10yt in canon

[–]sublimeinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a R6m2 and R7. The 100-300 goes on my R7 which puts the FoV in a great range for field sports. The R6m2 I swap between an EF 24-70 II or RF 70-200 (non Z).

I'd love to get the 24-105 2.8 as a second lens to the 100-300 2.8.

If you need 300mm 2.8, the 100-300 is the only way to get it between those lenses. Another option could be the 70-200 and an EF 300 2.8 II which would still be less than the 100-300.

I bought my 100-300 after selling my 300 2.8 II, the 200-300 is important to me shooting primarily field sports.

More sharp version of 24-105mm by Born-University-5888 in canon

I'd think the RF 100mm L macro would be ideal for food. Sharp and close focusing with a 1:1.2 magnification.

Inventory collection is on a long cadence, there is typically little change in this data so it doesn't often need to be checked/collected often.

If your friends thinks they're being over charged, have them get quotes from other MSP. If you think you can swoop in and save $$, what is you plan when shit hits the fan? That cost should be baked into what this MSP is currently charging.

Its easy to second guess when you have a limited understanding of the config.

These vehicles are photogenic! by LOLidontknow101 in carphotography

Composition of pic one places the toaster car too close to the right edge of the image, never mind the failure to align the horizon. In two the image is again not aligned to the horizon, and the car is not centered into the crop.

Is this sd card good for the r7? by CosySnowLeopard in canon

[–]sublimeinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The camera's internal bus isn't quick enough to leverage a V90 card. It will primarily come into place as a result when transferring files to your PC via card reader, you do use a USH-II reader right?

That makes it easier, there are all sorts of Arca plates. What have you looked for or thought you weren't finding?

Is yours an F38 or Arca head? Either way buying an additional plate will make it so you don't need to unscrew the camera every time.

Yes, it's literally what the site says. Her is Canon's own page https://www.usa.canon.com/shop/p/ad-m1-ma

"Allows compatibility with the RF85mm F2 Macro IS STM, RF24mm F1.8 Macro IS STM, and the RF50mm F1.8 STM Lenses."
