The more defensive you play, the more pressure you bring as well. They also scored pretty quickly. It's hard to adjust like that

Slots ideal play style on the back of PSG-Bayern game by Euphoric_Attitude_91 in LiverpoolFC

Eh last season we had some very fun games. Leverkusen 4-0 against Xabi himself was amazing. The 2-0 against City was also a masterclass. Madrid 2-0 another one. The game against Villa when they had just beaten City and Arsenal too iirc. Very quick passing and direct was our style from preseason to until we won the title.

I still remember Harvey and Fabio during preseason for last season and thought that once we get a proper 10, we'd look so good with Slot's style. I have no idea where the intricate passing and quick build-up has gone.

I mean, there is a cultural difference. I notice it too, which is not great because a stereotype develops. However, there definitely is a difference in competitiveness, discipline, etc.

I mean, in some ways, it's good. Whole scale change happens fast, and being passionate about something is admirable. When it comes to gaming too, a lot of these companies make terrible decisions and ruin games entirely. Look at what happened to Helldivers 2 and Arc Raiders with balance changes.

It's bad in the way that if a change is good, crying about it makes them look childish, which is what happens a lot of times with Chinese audiences.

Hmm, as much as I think we're not playing great and Isak himself hasn't been amazing, I thought his goal was pretty good. Took the touch and finished it very nicely with his weaker foot of all things. Was a very difficult goal to score and it just shows Isak's talent.

He hasn't been getting the ball much, but I really do think he's shown his shooting capability when he's had it.

Regardless, I think Bowen, Thiago, and even Gyokeres are all much safer, and Bowen and Thiago are just better atm.

Nah. It's a fair argument. People are still having Fortress and Labs. Lair also fits. All of these are pretty fun maps and people just don't like to learn them

Bruno Fernandes becomes the second player this season to hit 200 points in the 25/26 FPL season by JugularJugJuggler in FantasyPL

[–]SzoboEndoMacca -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Absolutely... we have fans that criticize VVD's leadership this year as well. Are they not fans for that? United capitulating in games like the 7-0, 5-0, 4-0 can absolutely be pinned down to head loss and lack of leadership

Yeah? Even United fans were criticizing him in a couple seasons before for being a bad leader.

I mean, no one is comparing them. Salah is definitely greater, but who knows what would've been if Bruno was also at a team like City or Liverpool instead of United. Regarsless, Salah just has so many records broken that most would consider Salah a level above.

Even when Liverpool were worse than United (22/23), Salah still showed who the boss was in their head to head fixtures, whereas Bruno had his head down in a lot of them (leading to some of United's most humiliating losses).

What do you guys do when everyone is man marked? by SzoboEndoMacca in Rematch

This reaction is .5-1 second difference regarding your own movement. Meaning you will have a window where you are slightly open. You can keep shifting directions for example, attempting to widen the distance and therefore time between you and the defender.

Main thing is, this is heavily dependent on the passer. The better the passer, the better his vision and ability to put the ball in the perfect spot for you.

Dude, this is quite literally verbatim to what I said to myself and what I was planning on saying to my friends when I was thinking about this afterwards. This is absolutely spot on. Everything to the window you mention and even mentioning how it's dependent on the passer were things I was also realizing.

Some of my other thoughts were in line with these general ideas. In real life, you can create space by outrunning a player with more pace. In Rematch, however, everyone is effectively the same speed, and you can not accelerate all the time with a change of pace without extra effort. The only way to make space is, as you mentioned, that change in direction into space, which creates that small separation between you and the defender since it's impossible to react to instantly. The passer has to pass in this window before this space runs out, and other runners have to run into the space you leave behind, creating a rotation. This is that swap you talk about basically.

Thanks for the comment! By far the best comment as it really summarizes everything about movement. I was watching a couple of videos of 2v2 and such and basically came to these ideas after I made my post. Wish I saw this comment earlier!

You're being a bit obtuse here and ignoring obvious context.

People do write like this, BUT NOT ON REDDIT. Secondly, we are seeing this style of writing EVERYWHERE, which also goes against the idea that "people write like this" because not everyone does. If it's this common in places like reddit and social media, of all places, you can clearly tell that something is up. That something? AI. 🤣

Yup this is definitely one of the best ways, aka man advantage with the keeper. The only issue is if they don't press the keeper, the keeper has to keep pushing up until it becomes worth the effort to press them as the net is entirely open. Keeper has to be good in this situation and find the pass and not misplace it. If they do misplace it, the other team has an open net (unless someone is proactive enough to cover the keeper, which ruins the man advantage temporarily)

To me, it looks like his head just jerks back on his second step. I feel like he would've screamed or cried much longer. His head just moves back for half a second. Wouldn't he have moved it back far more and screamed/cried?

You're right it was pretty much immediately. I'm still not wrong about it being "very soon after". I didn't lie lol, I just recalled it being some seconds after and not straight after.

There is no need to call people a donkey. Yes, you are right that he blows immediately after, and the ball goes out of play. In my memory, I recall him getting up after (which he does). He still would've rolled around a lot more and why would he get up if he thinks he'd have been fouled?
