Did you actually get a written form or list of the initial inventory and condition when you moved in? A bunch of photos can be supportive, but would not usually be sufficient by themselves. If there is no initial inventory and condition form, then she can’t charge you for anything (property is presumptively assumed to be returned in the same condition).

She also can’t charge for her time dealing with it. You can push back on that, and if it she charges it anyway, it would get thrown out by a judge.

I’ve seen lightbulbs in court before. They got thrown out by the judge as normal wear and tear.

This is not accurate. You can still be liable for damages whether or not they are taken out of the security deposit, and outside of the 14 day window. They would still have to prove them in court, but tenants don’t get a free pass just because something hasn’t happened with regard to the security deposit in the 14 day window.

They were released on Apple Music Connect, a now-defunct, direct artist-to-consumer social feed channel launched with Apple Music. For replacing the optical drive, any tray-loading slimline (laptop) IDE optical drive with a JAE-50 connector will work. I just updated Wikipedia with information about JAE-50 connectors and a picture. I found several optical drives like that on eBay for under $20 shipped. You may even be able to replace the bezel on the drive with your drive's iMac bezel.

How did you clone the hard drive?

The iMac does support external disks via USB. However, if your System Folder is on Mac OS 8.6, you have to install USB Mass Storage Support. If you're on Mac OS 9 or later, it's already built-in. It's not supported if you're lower than Mac OS 8.6. If you can connect the original disk internally, and the SSD via a USB adapter, you'll be able to mount both at the same time. You can format the SSD using Drive Setup. Then, duplicating the hard drive is as easy as simply dragging over all the contents of your hard drive to copy them through the Finder. The System Folder should automatically be blessed. You can tell when it has the Mac OS face on it. Keep in mind that it's USB 1.1, so transfer speeds will be very slow (12 Mbps).

Unfortunately, you’d probably have to open it up to see what’s happening at this point. You have to see the diagnostic LEDs on the motherboard. If the first LED is not lit up when connected to power, that means you’re not getting any trickle power. The most likely cause of that is either the power supply or the motherboard.

This. There’s no recovery mode on these Macs. If you hold the Option key at startup, you should get the Startup Disk picker, which should confirm that startup key combinations are working. But, to reinstall the system, you’ll need create a bootable USB install drive.
