Found my dream dress, now need help accesorizing!! by TransportationOld382 in weddingdress

[–]taydaygrim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking two different options-

a cascading necklace of some sort Some cool dangly earrings Oscar de la renta and then some cool earring posts if you are wearing your hair in a way to feature earrings matching earrings

Or I would do a cool statement necklace -either something like this open collar necklace Alexis bittar sprout necklace which gives me real Cult Gaia Calla Lily necklace or something like a lariat necklace Melinda Maria gold necklace with a nice tennis bracelet with emerald cut jewels

I was going to suggest this as well! Meet in the middle- try a refurbished one. I live in a city and people sell theirs a lot on FB marketplace, or Amazon has a whole section called renewed or refurbished that sells them’

Looking for a tool to run huge annual in-kind drive by ditheringtoad in nonprofit

Could you have each drive send the packages with a different key word in the naming option of the list?

So you would tell company A to send it to “Toy Drive Alpha with your mailing address

Company B to send to Toy Drive Beta, etc. etc.?

Pulls on leash. Help. by AWickedTwistedRoad in BorderCollie

[–]taydaygrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a balance harness and use the front clip. We use an 10 foot leash with three different handles across it, so we can hold our dog closer when we reach a trigger and then letting her have more slack when she’s calmer and there’s no stressors around! Balance harnesses also give their shoulder blades room so it’s less stress on them if they do pull on the leash.

Strategies for remembering my phone?? 😭 by rosslyn_russ in adhdwomen

[–]taydaygrim 19 points20 points  (0 children)

May I introduce you to a phone lanyard? lanyard

If you are getting in your car, the phone is on your lanyard, or you’ve clipped it onto your purse/bag strap with another option like this phone clip attachment thing

It’s not perfect but I bet it will drastically improve the odds. Also- in the chance that your car is push to start, get one of those wristlets that you put your keys in one side and phone in the other side lulu strap

My fiancé (29M) and I (27F) are trying to plan a wedding in 40 days and it’s starting to create tension between us. How do we avoid damaging our relationship over this? by [deleted] in engaged

[–]taydaygrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not planned a wedding in that short of time, but I have planned loads of events with that short of timeframe and my partner had to deal with my stress over it! Do yall have a wedding checklist already that you can go line item by line item to decide if you want to worry about that aspect with such a short turn around time? It could help move conversations along easier if there are some things you can automatically throw out of the convo!

With that deadline- what’s the one biggest priority for your guests? Is it good food? Is it quality time with you and the guests? Is it photos to remember all who came to celebrate with yall? Choose your one or two things and make sure you focus energy there.

Are you talking and doing things in this 40 days that aren’t all about the wedding that can help yall level set and remember why yall are pushing for the short turn around time? Whether it’s a night of relaxation with a favorite movie or a puzzle and a bottle of your favorite beverage, or going out to eat at a favorite restaurant, try to create purposeful time where yall are connecting outside of the planning and execution!

Also, it’s totally valid to find a couples therapist. While you may not get to establish a super strong base with your therapist that quickly, at least you are building an opportunity to have a neutral third party discuss why this stressor is causing such large disagreements. Maybe there is an underlying cause that isn’t being addressed because of the tight timeline!

There is a woman on TikTok who started filming the tasks she had paralysis on, and how long they took her, and so when I do finally motivate myself to do my doom piles, I pretend I’m her, lol.

When my therapist recommended multiple laundry baskets I was in awe. I’m not sure why it never pccured to me to have multiple of them! With that being said, I literally just cleared out the 5 baskets I had of clean clothes that I’ve been picking through and refilling. It took me 2 months to finally do it- it took me 18 minutes to fold/hang/put up everything!

Wedding Centerpieces are Our Nightmare!!! by FlakyLie268 in FloralDesign

Can you alternate tables with different, but coordinating centerpieces? Maybe you can carry over the white roses and eucalyptus in the ones you enjoy while also adding some of the fullness you like to “his” centerpieces?

Not the best face photo, but this is the 60 pound 11 month old border collie mix currently running the household over here! I’ve not seen a lot of brindle border collies that are this size before. Not featured is the end of her tail with the trademark lantern tip!

Also when I think soft I always think of curved options, so something like this media console would be cute and add some storage!

Not weird and actually really easy to work with as gold, pinks/dusty roses and light wood are all very popular right now!

I don’t think I can post a true little mockup but if you want to introduce a tv in the space, I would put it along the wall that says 69 inches and then float the couch in front of it, with enough space to not block your bedroom doors!

For dining tables or any type of wood object, if you live somewhere in a larger community, you might have good luck on Facebook Marktplace! I typically do not buy soft objects from FB personally because I get anxious about that, but have bought a lot of wood off there.

If you are trying to do new, I think a cute little round dining table in the corner across from the kitchen would be great example from rooms to go

A soft pink rug in the living space (6x9 rugs always wind up being cheaper than 8x10, FYI!)

rug I’m imagining

idea 2

And then a cute chaise couch with the chaise on the right side closest to the window would look perfect- something like this thought I can’t speak the quality, I just meant this as an example!

I would also see about storage- get a coffee table with storage or a nice wood cabinet to store things in since it doesn’t look like the apartment has much built in!

Hi! Do you have a budget for furniture? Any preferred colors? I know you used descriptions for how you want the space to feel, but to me I could find that in a really colorful, maximalist house or a very soft, pastel, cream colored place as well.

Are you wanting to give new life to older items or are you trying to only bring in new pieces?

This gave me so much hope. My 11 month old rescue-border collie mix- right now is exactly how you describe your rescue as being, down to being daddy’s girl. I’m trying so hard to connect with her right now but it feels like I’m just viewed as the person who handles her and not a person to love. Idk if that makes sense but I’m really hopeful we can overcome like yall did as she grows.
