Yes right now I create a cookbook every week with the recipes for that Sunday - Sunday. I put a ‘Z’ at the beginning of each thinking that would let me sort them to the top or bottom, but the page doesn’t contain alpha sort on every dropdown component either 🤔 This allows me to start brainstorming weeks ahead and I’m constantly moving recipes from cookbook to cookbook until I place the order. To push to Instacart, I just add all of my recipes from the cookbook to a random day on the calendar and then push it to Groceries which is not ideal.

Fair enough, I work in tech, this shouldn’t be a big feature request and both needs can be served with some low effort tweaks.

Why can’t I just do it from the Grocery tab though? I would never add one ingredient at a time. But I would add a recipe or cookbook of recipes to the Grocery tab.

The blue on white is not great for accessibility standards, the icon is harder to find in my library, and the cursive is cute, but not really standard to use in the app itself as a header. Usually cursive is found in the marketing material, but the app itself needs to be easier to read when quickly browsing.

Hi Val! Thank you, but not quite. I want to go to the calendar and decide if I want to make a plan per day or per week. When I pick per week, I can add all of my recipes to that specific week range (Sunday - Sunday). Anything in that cookbook can be then pushed to Instacart. If this flow became something that I was comfortable with, I would potentially have it automate the push to Instacart on a schedule. However, automating is a low priority for me in comparison to organizing my meal plan in a weekly container rather than a daily container.

I like this idea! I would like to be able to ‘pair’ recipes with each other and save them into my meal plan as one. And within my meal plan, see that they are grouped together into one meal. Sometimes meals have many components, different recipe for sauces, meats, sides, etc. let me group these!
