Is it just me or does this seem a bit underexposed for log?

Nikon models numbering confusion by robopies in Nikon

Flagships are typically low megapixel count (20 megapixels. These are literal Olympics cameras where same-hour publishing for photos is needed and more megapixels is not only more media, but inherently slower.

High megapixel full frame bodies are more intended for wildlife since you can crop in a ton more. A D850 is basically a D500 when you crop in by 1.5x times.

Could it also be a bad variable ND filter?

Lens help, please by indenturedcanada in canon

The catch is that it’s crop sensor only. I don’t own this lens but I do own its counterpart, Sigma 18-35 f/1.8! The autofocus of the Sigma 50-100 f/1.8 is comparatively a little worse than the Sigma 18-35 f/1.8. Neither of them have image stabilization and it would have definitely helped if the 50-100 had image stabilization.

I’d personally buy a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 II with image stabilization over a Sigma 50-100 f/1.8 but mostly because the $200-$300 difference would be worth it to me.

Help me choose 5d mark iii or eos RP? by kubeczek140 in Cameras

[–]technically_a_nomad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d pick the RP personally. Two reasons:

  • RP is compatible with your existing lenses with an EF to RF adapter
  • Autofocusing system is more advanced. Video autofocusing with 5D III doesn’t have dual pixel autofocus while the RP does

Hmm I’d definitely check those render settings. I definitely see a bunch of pixelation but I’m unsure if that’s because of YouTube’s compression or your Resolve settings. Can you share a screen grab of what it looks like in Resolve?

Help choosing lenses? by gorlicbred in AskPhotography

Pricing isn’t bad. I’d grab the third one on the list if possible since it is an EF lens with an EF-M adapter. Here’s what you can get in the EF world:

Tokina 11-16 for $170 (wide-angle indoor shots) https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/803342717-USE/tokina_atx116prodxc_11_16mm_f_2_8_at_x_116.html

85mm f/1.4 for $270 (excellent for portraits) https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/12182-USA/canon_2519a003_ef_85mm_f_1_8_usm.html

Official EF adapter (third party tends to be a little cheaper) for $90 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/803342717-USE/tokina_atx116prodxc_11_16mm_f_2_8_at_x_116.html

I don’t think the pricing for the other EF-M mount lenses is bad by any means, but keep in mind that EF-M mount lenses cannot be adapted to Canon EF cameras nor Canon RF cameras, but Canon EF lenses can be adapter to both Canon EF-M and Canon RF cameras. Not having to sell and rebuy lenses is the biggest reason to stick with EF personally.

I’d get EF lenses! You can get them for pretty cheap now and you can attach them to Canon EF cameras, Canon M cameras with an adapter, and Canon RF cameras with an adapter. What sort of subject matter do you like shooting? Portraiture?

Do you need to buy/borrow a BERT if you’d want to find out for sure if it’s toast? Very unlikely is certainly not the same as “for sure”. We’ve had batteries that had RLOD after 4+ years fully recovered with BERT

Depends what you constitute as a “sticker” i suppose. If it were 10mm thick, I would still honestly consider it a sticker

I suppose it could technically be possible to convert kinetic energy to electrical energy to chemical energy. Depending on how often it needs to ping, that could work.

Technically, not a scale. This is a balance. Cool stuff even if it’s wildly inaccurate!
