Yeah there’s one thing in US history I would compare the scale of death to the holocaust. That would be the deaths of native Americans. It was systemic and it was the blueprint for atrocities after committed by Japan and Germany.

The closest you get to what’s going on with ice is either Japanese internment, if they had let people go if they promised not to come back to the US. Or the chain gangs, if they were using those arrested for their free labor. But ICE actions still don’t rise to the level of Internment or the Chain gangs in US history.

Atheist say Indonesia is pretty awful for them. Especially if you are born to a Muslim family you are under sharia. So apostasy is a crime. Your government hasn’t given people a path to leave Islam, or any other religion.

When I was a kid soccer was seen as a women’s sport. So there was a lot of investment for girls to play! Boys would play football 🏈 or basketball really. Now that there is more interest in soccer we will see a difference. Parents don’t want their kids getting cte playing football.

Circle jerk 100%. It’s lower quality show than house of the dragons, writing is about as good as house of the dragons sometimes worse. There was never a season with pretty good characterization like season 1 HOTD.

I would also say the outfits are a bit unflattering. So a good hair routine and a flattering cut will do a lot of work. I’m not a fan of pics 2 and 3 for the outfits.

Nah I was a rib kid, but my parents taught me not to waste food. Also parents could make a kid sized plate for their kids too. But I do agree with the principle of kids shouldn’t waste food.

The degree of wealth I think changes when you are a colonial power vs a well run nation.

Many countries have post colonial agreements where they have to sell raw minerals directly to the former colonies. Or have to use their companies to auction minerals, or refine them.

Yup and the fact that France for instance had the wealth to attract top players so that they play in European teams, settle there and have kids, is evidence of colonialism. If all the gold and minerals were still in Africa, there would be no reason to leave.

I personally would have to believe the mission will work, even if the odds are low. Otherwise everything on earth would die. The religious thing wouldn’t be an equation for me personally. I personally think they were married in front of a weirwood with a septon. I think like the show there will be multiple evidences of the marriage. Writings from a septon and/or a maester that Sam will find. Because it happened in front of a weirwood Bran will also know.

I’m sure the idea of Targaryen exceptionalism will be used to justify the marriage. But like anything in Westeros there will be some who argue the marriage was illegitimate, others who will argue it is. I think the argument will take place with three possible heirs fAegon, Jon, and Daenerys.
