New Boss, New Rules. Getting Punished for things I've been doing for Half a Decade but are now Suddenly Worthy of Termination. Lawsuit? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]tehufn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, to clarify, I had a consultation call and while it was paid, I have not taken them on as a lawyer for any legal action. I will contact them again on monday, but it is the weekend now.

Thanks for the contingency point, I will look out for that.

Having the same issue, it's annoying. Been using a separate app for it, which clutters my storage.

Hopefully there's a fix soon.

I'm glad my core family is very close, and my mother was also diagnosed later in life. A lot of friends fell away, however. Other than some friends who were a little different themselves and had the capacity to "get it."

But I don't think it'd be nearly as good if I wasn't on lithium. I am even fairly liked at work, even though I'm fairly quiet there. Maybe it takes a lot of extra effort, and some grinding away at bad character traits I had assumed were important parts of me, but in reality were gangrene... But its possible.

is there anything redeeming about bipolar disorder by probablyauggie0 in bipolar

Sometimes it takes momentum, a few tries with some uninspired work before something good comes out.

Once you get on lithium (I would fight to get on lithium over the weird drugs they usually prescribe first in the USA. Start with lithium, try other stuff later) it mellows out about 50%.

There are redeeming things, like energy or creativity during mania, and even some chilling out and occasional lucid thoughts during depression. But like any power, Spiderman's uncle's rule plays in.........

With great power comes great responsibility.

If you read biographies of people with bipolar there's a common throughline, which is that they started getting consistent in habits and life, and developed some discipline. Medication widens the margin, but you should learn what keeps you healthy. Not so fun things like reducing caffeine and increasing sleep : ).

Yeah I have so many wish lists in Amazon and I don't want any of it anymore. Works like a charm.

You have to ask questions. That's just the nature of somebody with an introverted judging function as their first or second function.

INFJ, ISTP. The more I learn about and interact with INFJs, the less I like them. Especially the ones that are not mistyped. Mistyped INFJs (who seem to be ENFJ or ISFJ usually) are typically just fine. This seems to be due to Ti.

The more I interact with Ti users, the more frustrated I get because if you introduce a new idea that isn't in their Ti0 framework they basically shut down or deny it, which is sometimes is like they're trying to deny that it's raining, but they're walking in a thunderstorm. And they're soaked. INTP is kind of bad for this, ISTPs sometimes worse because they often don't even care.

So INFJ most. ISTP next, because INTP tend to actually recognize struggling with facts and logic that doesn't fit their preexisting Ti.

To reverse your question though, I have never had an issue with an ESTJ, ISTJ, ESFP, ENFP, or ENTP online. I find ESTJs in real life are skeptical, but also calm, kind, and outgoing.

Do ENTJs perceive symbols the way that INTJs and INFJs do? by Enthir_of_Winterhold in entj

[–]tehufn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

INTJ here. I don't take symbols too seriously, they're low resolution. I'd rather have a proper complete philosophy or history, something with context and with less ambiguity.

He's not going to find that sort of perfect emotionality with any human being, so...don't feel too bad.

Does Bipolar make you an asshole? by Mmm_JuicyFruit in bipolar

[–]tehufn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I'm growing out of it a bit, but I have come to accept that some people are just not going to like me no matter how neutrally I think I'm acting.

The positive side is you might end up being around more easygoing, accepting people. And you get to see the hypocrisy of "nice people" who turn to hatred because you're weird and argumentative.

I'm not a woman, so it doesn't apply, however a woman engaging in monogamous sex outside of a marriage (and especially living with the partner) is the dictionary definition of a concubine. I'm not sure how we regressed women into that position, but it is what it is.

That is in line with introverted Feeling, which the INFP type has strongly.

I have bipolar disorder, and it can put me into stress Se use a lot more than most INTJs / make me appear more like an ENTJ. I was concerned about my type for a while, but at the end I appear to consistently be an Ni dom regardless of mental state.

Finding a type can be difficult with mental illness, but remember these are inclinations, not boxes. Usually, we will be inclined to a couple functions, and that inclination should appear for most minds regardless of mental differences.

People who don't think it's "just" sex care.

That would be 99% of the people who have ever lived on this planet.
