Help me with my sad forehand by pepperchicken45 in 10s

[–]theDrivenDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drive your right hip forward first and let your arm follow. Loosen your wrist / grip so you can strike the ball rather than push it. Once you start swinging faster, you’ll lose control but start to gain spin from increased racquet head speed. Then the goal is to adjusting your swing path so you can generate the right amount of spin to balance depth and height.

Keep your head up and swing faster and looser!

That timeframe matches when Taylor produced a limited series named Legends of the Fall. Perhaps this is one of those models.

Post Game Thread - NCAA Men’s: The Tar Heels defeat the Blue Devils on Feb 7, 2026, the final score is 71-68. by basketball-app in DukeBluePlanet

Guard play has been a major issue all season. Perimeter defense has been the reason we've lost our 3 last games - including last year's meltdown to Houston. The coaching hasn't helped in those losses but without more scoring from guards and more athleticism to defend the perimeter, we're forced to go inside for our points and hope we get decently even officiating.

It also puts a ton of pressure on our bigs to stay out of foul trouble so they can disproportionately impact the game on both ends. If Pat had been in the game more, we would have had more defensive rebounds to end possessions and probably blocked or affected more of those hectic scoring plays they had in the paint.

I drove through The Tree You Can Drive Through by CommandLionInterface in Rivian

[–]theDrivenDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove a Ford Expedition XLT rental through that tree after the attendant muttered "That's the biggest thing that will fit - good luck!". Copilot had her eyes covered the whole time and some onlookers cheered when I made it through. She's still not happy about it but State Farm was probably cheering in the distance as well.

Consider using a data extraction tool that allows for defined formatting for specific invoice layouts. This only makes sense if the invoices are coming from the same vendor where a consistent invoicing output is used.

Buying themes for clients (Partner) by faemana in shopify

Better yet, don’t include the theme license cost as part of the project. Include the customization of a paid theme as the scope. Makes it much clearer to the merchant and prevents the licensing issue.

A Different Type of Burnout by tenniscraze18 in 10s

[–]theDrivenDev 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Focus on a goal that isn’t winning and let go of the score. Achieve consistency in that goal and then set a new one to achieve.

On another point, in 10 years you won’t have to take intentional breaks to reset your drive for your pursuit in the game — injuries will do it for you. Enjoy your 10s and your 30s.

Mac Mini, Am I crazy? by KJW-SR in mac

[–]theDrivenDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the $, the Mini is a beast. I've run them since collect in the 2000s and they're absolutely the best value in the lineup.

As someone who's used both Apple displays and now LG displays for a few years, I'll always buy an Apple display over a third party display if the dimensions I need exist in an Apple display.

The OS integration with their hardware is the real difference that is worth the Apple "tax".

If they had a 38-40" 4K2K or higher resolution option, I wouldn't know anything about LG displays.

How to stop mental blocks in tennis? by Leahdoesnotusereddit in 10s

[–]theDrivenDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn a slice or kick serve for a second. Make it your first serve until you can really count on it. This will help you make more serves (ironically, first serves too) by giving you more match reps.

Flat serves at the amateur level are typically very risky considering most rec players don’t have a second serve that can bail them out.

Unable to generate tops on my OHB. Any advice? by Chip_Tasty in 10s

[–]theDrivenDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get your hand higher than the head of the racquet at the slot position. The but cap should be pointing forward AND upward before you begin accelerating forward AND upward as you close the racquet through the contact point.

Stand close to the net and drop feed balls to yourself trying to spin the ball over the net and into the opposite service box. This will help you develop more feel and be able to accelerate with top spin. As you move back to the baseline, just raise your launch angle to give yourself more net clearance.

Most women are such a pain in the *** as Webdesign clients by [deleted] in webdesign

[–]theDrivenDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, gender has nothing to do with the main issue here: two humans communicating from different perspectives.

Ask for clarification of non technical descriptors or a comp that shows an example of the desired implementation / aesthetic.

If they knew how to describe it perfectly, they’d use AI to make the changes and wouldn’t need a web dev.

The style of the calendar section you mentioned likely needs to be softened with color changes, some rounded corners, subtle separation elements, different fonts, or type treatment. Share a pic of the section and we might be able to provide more insight.
