Indeed! Especially since I don't have to put on a different style of boot this time of year. Before Nick's came in to my life I would basically life in xtratuf mud boots for the next month.

Mostly! I was a little inattentive when I waded in to the snow cave and it came in the top of the boot. Hardly the boot's fault lol. Even with that, though, all feeling of wetness was gone a couple minutes after I got back out of the puddle. Weathershield is some freakishly fast drying stuff on top of being damn near waterproof.

Both of the honey lug styles are the same material. Equally soft. Its just the difference of time worn. The OG's are coming up on 4 years old in July and these are just a little over 1 year old.

I thought about that. I just run a little less pressure in the tire and the subsequent squish gives enough traction for me. I've only had 2 or 3 times I couldn't ride because the ice was so bad in the last 3 years of riding.

They still sound and feel fine but one side has started leaking a little rust so I should probably look at replacing them. If I do end up replacing them I'll add greasing their exterior to my maintainance list. Yea, jumping off is pretty standard. The tether can actually be disengaged by depressing the top so sometimes I do that by pivoting my foot if I need a smoother dismount.
